I was searching for a gym that was not intimidating with a zillion machines that require constant readjusting and with little ""energizer bunnies"" jumping up and down endlessly on stair masters wearing scanty exercise outfits. At one time, this was for me but now I want to exercise for health and not to be in a meat market. I needed a ""no brainer"" for exercise and found it! The 13 machines are in a circle with rebounder boards in between each machine. You exercise on each machine/board for 30 seconds and move on when told to change. Lively music is played and time is taken periodically for each person to take their pulse and regulate from a chart if they need to slow down or work harder.\r
When I joined Curves, my mother was very ill and passing away. Exercise was the best medicine for me to escape what was happening in my life. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the management people at Curves actually cared about ME and helped me emotionally through one of the hardest times of my life. The members are very caring individuals also and made the exercise time pass quickly with warm conversation. \r
I have been a member at Curves for almost 2 years. In that 2 years, I have made some wonderful friends and have found exercising to be something I actually look forward to doing. Over this period of time, I have seen the staff constantly watching that their clients are using the machinery correctly and know each woman personally. I also would like to mention that I've lost 25 lbs., look and feel the best I have in years!\r
