I'll be calling James at Current Plus if I ever need more electrical work done! I talked to him on a Thursday afternoon and he offered to come by later that day or the next day to discuss what I wanted/needed to have done and give me an estimate. I arranged to meet with him on Friday, which happened to be a holiday. Not only did he not charge me extra, which is what most service providers do, he gave me a military discount. He started the work the following Monday. He was professional, knowledgeable and an all-around nice guy. The price was reasonable, discussed upfront and there were no ""hidden"" fees after the work was completed. And, he got everything done in a day! I definitely recommend you give him a call. more

Will be doing ALL future work!!! 11/20/2011

I had an emergency job that needed to be done. I called around to other electricians stating that it needed to be done ASAP. Earliest they said they could even come look at it was 3 days out. Finally I went to facebook and posted that I needed help. I had an overwhelming response to call James at Current Plus. When I called him he was at my house in less than 10 minutes and started the job 1st thing the next day. He took the time to fully explain what he was doing and went over and beyond my expectations. James and his crew were very professional and polite. Prices were even better. Especially since I am on a very fixed budget. James will be doing any and all of my future electrical work. more

DO NOT HIRE THIS ELECTRICIAN 9/11/2011

Hired Current Plus Electric to rewire home. We signed a fixed price contract for the work and he would not stop asking me for more and more money to finish the job even though contract was paid in full. Finally, I said no and told him to finish the job I had already paid him for and his answer was that I had to pay him an additional $500 just to walk off of the job. Needless to say, I did not pay him and told him he was done. A few days later he returned to pick up him tools and took an item off of my furnace that he had installed (probably incorrectly anway....). I will be filing a small claim in St, Clair County court. Additionally, I had an actual professional electrician provide me with a quote to ""finish"" the job and fix all of the electrical code violations and unworkman like practices that Current Plus Electric did in my home. DO NOT HIRE THIS ELECTRICIAN. He is highly unprofessional and will gladly take your money, hold your job/home hostage and then run!!!!!!! more
