This was my first experience with a colonoscopy and it was terrible. Not only did I haveto wait 1 1/2 hour for my initial consult, the doctor was dismissive about my symptoms. When I went for the procedure the staff were not aware of my medication issues and thus I was awake and feeling alot of pain throughout the procedure. The doctor hardly said a word afterward, the staff at his office had no advice the next day. Going to this practice was huge mistake. I will not be going back., but will take the time to go to Beth Israel where they are up to date and more professional. Pros: convenience Cons: who cares about convenienec if you are treated poorly? more

I have been a patient of Dr Curran for years. He is a gentleman and a caring physician who takes the time to listen. His staff is always polite and friendly. I don't know anyone who really wants to go to the doctor, but this office makes the visit as comfortable as possible. My health is important to me and I know I am in good hands with Dr Curran caring for me. Whenever I hear that someone is looking for a gastroenterologist I always share my experiences on how Dr Curran was able to diagnosis my condition and the treatment I receive from him whenever my disease flares up. You don't need to go to Boston or Worcester for a good gastroenterologist.. For me this is a five star practice and I would recommend Dr Curran to anyone who needs a good gastroenterologist. Dr Curran is my PCP (not for much longer). For starters, they only answer the phone between 9:45 and 12 and then again from 1:30 to 4 on M, T, TH and F. What happens if you need to see the Dr on Wed? I guess that's why there are so many people in the emergency room these days. If you can even get the staff to answer the phone they are rude and condescending. In the 3 years I have been going to this Dr I have actually spoken with him once. Every other time it has been the nurse practitioner. Cheryl is the ONLY reason I did not give a zero. She is very nice and respectful. They have also screwed up the billing on almost every single visit I have had and then they send collection letters to my house because they don't know how to bill with the correct codes. Incompetence at it's best. Avoid this Dr like the plague.\r \r Pros: The nurse is nice Cons: Everything else. They can't be bothered to actually give a damn. more

I was very concerned when it was time to schedule my first screening colonosocpy. My PCP referred me to Dr Curran. From my first phone call to his office to leaving the hospital my experience was stress free and painless. His office staff was professional, courteous, respectfull of my shcedule and made sure I was informed and prepared for my the procedure. Dr Curran's bedside manner professional at the same time pleasant, caring, informative and assuring. The colonoscoy was painless, I woke up not even knowing it started let alone was over. My whole experience, though nothing anybody looks forward to, was positive. I would highly recommend everyone who needs a colonocospy get one and I would highly recommend Dr Curran for his manner and expertise. Pros: positive experience more
