Quality Kids' Books 5/21/2006

Curious George is the children’s division of the late, great Wordsworth Books. It has a nice selection of appealingly displayed children’s books and some toys. The staff are friendly and helpful and the environment, while a little claustrophobic, is definitely kid-friendly. Curious George is only one aspect of this diverse and fun store. more

cute toys and books 4/4/2006

this is a cute store right in the heart of Harvard Square that has a lot of different books as well as a nice variety of toys. they also have a really nice selection of bath toys for kids which you don't find everywhere. they have pretty classic toys like sock monkeys and rubber duckies as well as some unique and individual things that are also cute more

Too cute. 11/30/2005

I don't have any children, but I love stores like this. They have just about any children's book you're looking for, whether it be a classic by Roald Dahl or the latest from Lemony Snicket. The prices are average for that of a store that sells new books. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a small selection of toys and plush stuffed animals. A good find! more

A Charming Bookstore that will Bring You Back to Childhood! 10/7/2005

Curious George Goes to Wordsworth is a wonderful place to waste away an afternoon, especially if you have a child to entertain. I always remember the GIANT stuffed animals (especially George, of course!) that greet you throughout the store. This is certainly a place where you can sit down on the floor and curl up with a book and you wont get a second glance. It offers a really great selection of childrens books as well as childrens toys to go with the books! Wander in and charge your imagination! more

Huge selection of childrens books! 9/2/2005

I love to visit this store and look forward to sharing it with my children. Every book you remember from your childhood is here, alongside thousands of wonderful others waiting to be discovered. There are books appropriate for babies, young children, and even teens. What a fun shop to bring your kids to... the decor is bright and cheery. more

If you Love Curious George Come Here 8/19/2005

I am in my twenties, but I still love curious George, I do not know if any one else can empathize with that, but if you can this is the place for you. This place is great for kids and adults alike. I take my three year old cousin here a lot, but it is really just a ploy so I do not feel like a loser whose alone in a toy store. They have things beside curious George memorabilia, but if you are ever in the area, I suggest you check it out. more

Fun kids' bookstore 8/18/2005

Unfortunately, the parent of this store, Wordsworth Books, has gone out of business. But this kids store is a lot of fun -- great selection of children's books, as well as related accessories. The staff here is very nice, and very helpful with everything. Curious George is, of course, the eponymous hero of the store, but all quality children's books are available, such as the DK series of books. If you have kids, take them here -- they'll like it. Not the cheapest place in the world, by the way, but the Disneyish atmosphere is fun. more

A child's dream bookstore 8/17/2005

I love going into Curious George goes to Wordsworth bookstore because it's fun and not stuffy. In addition to books, the store sells toys, puzzles, and children's bedroom items. The store is uber cute with Curious George figures hanging from practically anything and everything in the store. It's a fun place to go if you need a few moments away from life as an adult. It really makes you reminiscent of childhood. more

for the kid at heart 8/16/2005

Even though I'm no longer a kid (at least according to my drivers license) I can't help but stop in this store whenever I'm in Harvard Square. It's always under the pretense of finding something for one of my nephews, but really it's because I love to go in and look through the great selection of children's books as they bring back memories of my own childhood. While the store mostly offers books, they also have a nice selection of toys, usually literary chacaters to accompany all the books! more

This fun store, decorated with a fake hut and tropical plants, caters to kids of all ages. You'll find Curious George hanging from all the rafters--color and activity books, play sets, mugs and even cookie jars. Downstairs, selections for older readers include Harry Potter, Beverly Cleary and Mark Twain books. Ease kids through divorce or adoption with a book from the Social Issues section or get them learning with math and language-arts books. more

expensive...but very cute 8/7/2005

The Curious George store, right in Harvard Square, a a world of fun for the kids. George dolls hang everywhere, as do kiddie sized tables and chairs for the little ones to test out the cool toys and games. There are many books and unique games you aren't likely to see at a Toys R Us. Don't forget to check out the basement, where you'll find plenty more fun stuff! You'll find many a gift for kids of any age. more

So, so cute!! This adorable shop in Harvard Square offers an exciting adventure for younger guests and a refreshing trip back to childhood for the older ones. Filled with books and toys, it is the perfect place to shop for gifts for younger relatives, or something fun for a friend or yourself. more
