Cue & Cushion

This is the place to go if you need a cue or any billiards/pool suppies (Ask for Chris)! My first time walking into Cue & Cushion was yesterday afternoon (1/27/13). I was transplanted in St. Louis in '05 and I have been searching for a place to get a good cue and a great place to play pool. As soon as I walked in the door Chris asked me: what I was looking for in a cue, what my price range was, and a little about my pool knowledge. Then he was off. He pulled out several cues and made suggestion and asked detailed questions about my preferences with cue in hand, and after we narrowed that down I had three cues to ""try"". Chris took me back to the main room and let me try each cue to see which one felt best to me. Of the three I had a hard choice between two. He offered a great price and was very helpful. Drop the internet sellers, you can't get the same kind of down home service. I guarantee they will see more of me in this classic Pool hall and supply store. See ya soon. more

Only decent place in North County that has dart supplies and stays open late every nite. Lots of soft tip dart sets. Also league discounts! They will give you cards for your whole team when you sign up for no charge and save 20% off your dart purchase. more

If you're looking to play serious pool, there is only place to go: Cue & Cushion. Every table is well maintained, and all but a few are 9 footers. They have a 10 foot snooker table as well as a *heated* 10 foot 3-cusion table! The staff are very friendly and can answer any question you might have. The first time I walked in there I spent the better part of an hour just chatting with Chris, learning about cues. It's generally a nice quiet place, not overrun with a slew of loud and annoying teenagers like most of the other pool rooms in town. You'll hear some barking from the players but also some of THE BEST one-liners of your life from the old-school guys battling out games of one pocket (Mickey, usually). *IF* there is a negative to this place, it's that it's brightly lit everywhere. No dungeon lighting here. If you're used to the really dark pool rooms, this might take some getting used to, but I haven't found it to be all that distracting. The prices can NOT be beat; easily the cheapest place to play - which is shocking considering the rich history of this room. There is no bar, and no drinking (alcohol) or smoking allowed inside, so you don't have to worry about the drunks spilling beer or burning holes in the cloth. Plenty of beverages including: coffee, soda, juice and water are available as are a variety of snacks. In addition to all of that, they sell (and service) everything billiard related. Tables, cues, chalk, balls, training supplies, cases, videos, clothing and even darts! You will NOT be disappointed in your visit to C&C! -John Pirkey more

Can't say enough about how awesome this place is. Family owned, awesome fun, excellent quality pool tables to play on and for sale in their full service retail store. Best selection of pool cues and dart supplies anywhere in the entire Midwest, and good ole fashioned personal service from the family and friends who are experts in their industry. They play every day on the tables that they provide for recreational use and sell, so they know what QUALITY really means. I wouldn't buy or play anywhere else! One you go there, you will be a customer for life. Once you play there and experience their ""real pool"" atmosphere, you will never even want to go anywhere else.
