Recently on a Grand Canyon trip my wife and I visited Sedona ,just beautiful, to celebrate a wonderful trip, we had hoped to find great Italian restaurant, originally from Chicago, now in Alabama where Italian Cuisine is far and few. I usually recruit the opinions of the local people for their opinion, asking three different shop keepers what they would consider the best Italian restaurant in town, all three with out hesitation replied Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante. more

WOW!!! That is all I can say. My grandparents live in Sedona and said that this was by far the best food in Sedona hands down. My husband and I went up to Sedona this past weekend and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked it we were in awe. The look and vibe when you walk in is stunning. It has such an enchanting look, we fell in love with this place. I was nervous about price when I walked in because I was certain it had to be expensive. I was pleasantly surprised, it was extremely reasonable for what you get. Every bite amazed us, the best food by far I have EVER had. Absolutely superb!!! We each had a drink, an appetizer, the bread and dip they serve (OMG?the dip is EXQUISITE), 2 pasta dishes and dessert and our bill was $65. We have paid that at Olive Garden for not even ? the quality of food or service. I will come here for life! The whole experience was delectable and will recommend Dahl & Diluca to everyone. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary but affordable you must try this restaurant, you will be glad you did. more

During our recent trip to Sedona, we stayed at a timeshare that is located behind the Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa just off of Hwy 179. That said, we had done all of our Yelp Homework prior to the trip, so Dahl & Diluca Cucina Rustica was one of the ""starred"" establishments on our list. :) We made it here on the Monday before Christmas, just after a long trip to the Grand Canyon... We all started with the Insalata Misto, which had a great dressing - light, a little hint of sesame oil and soy, delish! Our group consisted of 5 people, but we only had 4 entrees (2 of us had the same thing): (1) Linguine Vongole: This was the dish that was ""doubled-up"". :) It was definitely one of the better vongole preparations I've had. Just the right amount of white wine and a LOT of garlic. Did I mention I love garlic? (and it's good for the heart... ha ha) (2) Linguine Papolini (sp?): The easiest way for me to describe this dish is that is was the house version of a carbonara sauce. It was really good! The ""house carbonara"" included prosciutto, mushrooms, and scallions in a light cream sauce. Definitely not as heavy as some carbonara interpretations I've had. (3) 3 Homemade Sausages: My brother-in-law had this dish, which included 3 different types of sausages - I think they were chicken, lamb and veal? They were so good, the rest of the table only got a chance to have a small taste! (4) Papardelle Paradiso: I think that's what the dish was called, except the description of the ""Paradiso"" sauce does not match what was on the table. It was more of a meat sauce, which is not what is described on the website, under ""Tortellini Paradiso"". this is an excellent restauraunt. i have had the priviledge of eating at many designer and 5 star restaurants mostly in LA, Vegas. The food was fresh, delicate, and flavorful. comfortable chairs, casual, romantic atmosphere, delicious garden salad, fresh EVOO. 1- chicken breast with artichokes , orzo,( a special) was fresh, marinated and seasoned perfectly. the snap peas and orzo complimented the chicken well. 2- The salmon (also a special) was tender and moist, not dry. i loved the snap peas. not over cooked- perfect. mmm. We arrived at about 9pm, and i expected to be rushed out, but they were customer service 100%- encouraging us t take our time. The service by Francis was some of the best i have had. He clearly takes pride in his work- he was there to take care of us- personable and fast. The owner made a point of approaching us at the finish of the evening. He thanked us for coming, asked us where we were from, conversed a bit. He was clearly proud of his establishment, and wanted us to know that we were welcomed, and appreciated our business. I like that. He was sincere- not just doing a job. read reviews on other sites- those recommendations as well as the rec's from our hotel- adobe grand villas (awesome) are what led us here. 2 dinner entrees (with sa salad) , 1 app,(caprese salad- one of my fave salads- i always look for buffala mozzerella, heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, and yummy EVOO+ balsamic (this was it!) 1 bottle wine, 1 desert- about $130.00. not to be missed in sedona.
