Writing in regards to Carson, CA location and staff: I am absolutely livid and appalled at their complete lack of professionalism and outright rudeness. On March 23rd, 2009 my husband and mother-in-law rented an RV for a trip to Phoenix. Not only did they give us the RV two hours late they gave it to us with the gas tank on empty. The lady that gave them the keys assured them that they could return it on empty. Today, March 28th, we returned the RV and the INCREDIBLY rude check-in clerk said that he was going to charge us for gas. When we said that we were given the RV on empty and were assured we could return it on empty he said ""well, no...we're going to charge you."" We said absolutely not and we were not going to leave until it was resolved. He then became incredibly confrontational, slamming phones down, and just all around being very rude and unpleasant. Then when the lady came out she verified that she said we could return it on empty but then it became a question of HOW empty it really was. Then began a ridiculous discussion of 1/8 of a tank as opposed to 1/16 and etc, etc. They said ""well, 15 dollars sounds fair."" When we said absolutely not, he became even more rude. The lady was apologizing profusely, saying it really was a technical question of ""how empty is empty"", but that is absolutely absurd. They finally relented and said ""no charges"", but the male clerk was obviously upset that we ""got away"" with it and even seemed angry at his coworkers for contradicting him. We left there swearing that NEVER again will we rent from this company. I cannot believe that people there are allowed to treat paying customers like that. And if this dude was indeed a manager (he was not dressed in a red shirt as the other staff were) then that is even more appalling.
