Crown Ranch

We have been out looking for acreage homsites and Crown Ranch is beautiful. The pool, splash pad and pavilion are completed. It is an amazing facility for the neighborhood. 6 homes are currently under construction and the neighborhood is one that we will seriously consider. more

Don't listen to other people--including me. Do your own INDEPENDENT due diligence and do lots of it. The developer's web site certainly isn't in sync with statements made at the last Crown Oaks POA board meeting. As I have looked all over the Houston area for a place to build my home on acreage, I came across Crown Ranch. The sales person was very helpful and informative, she showed us the property and it was beautiful. The rolling hills and beautiful tree looked especially nice when the sun was setting. Falling in love with one of the acre sites, I wanted to check into some of the comments that mentioned on this site. I sent the developer an email and asked about the issue with Crown Oaks and activity in the community. He immediately responded to me with information that has been posted on the Crown Ranch website for over one year discussing the lake repair and the completion of the project. I had some concerns about the park and she showed me that the construction was underway on the playground and sand volleyball area. We are purchasing in Crown Ranch and feel very confident that we have made the right choice after looking at several acreage communities. more

I would have to agree with Landrush. Nothing has happened at Crown Ranch for some time. Seems like they have spent more time cleaning up their mess at Crown Oaks than anything else. Pros: Beautiful Land Cons: No progress more

This is the best place in Montgomery County and all of north Houston for that matter. The management does a good job of keeping the ditches mowed and the restrictions require that attractive homes be built. Pros: Natural Beauty Cons: None; I love it more

I have been searching and shopping for acreage for the past year. One of the developments that I keep visiting is Crown Ranch. Just north of Magnolia. While the land itself is beautiful, the development has not progressed at all in the past few years. Every time I talk to them, I get a different story. I saw their most recent advertisement was for 10-25 acre parcels. I called in and now they are selling off their property in large pieces and it is not even platted land!! Isn't it the whole point of buying in a 'master planned' community to have a clearly identified land plan? Pros: Idea is great Cons: No development; poor management more

My husband desperately wants to move to the country while I want to stay within close proximity of the city since we both work in The Woodlands. We went out to Crown Ranch today with our realtor and we were really surprised at how beautiful it is. They have HUGE acreage lots (can't remember the exact numbers) and some pre existing custom built homes. We looked at a few homes, but decided on some land to build our own home on. I'm really excited about it. The community has trails and recreation and it's right next door to the Blaketree National Golfcourse, which my husbands sees as a big plus.
