Extremely careless Movers. Not a trust-worthy, honest or fair-minded company either.\r

This moving company caused much damage to many of our possessions. Most of the damaged items were not boxed, but were wrapped in moving blankets. The movers were careless with our possessions during the move. Every single floor lamp was smashed, bent, or otherwise damaged, and some of these were very valuable. Major pieces of valuable furniture had doors either broken in half or fully ripped-off. Legs of several tables and one bookcase were snapped off. And there were other damages as well. The guys performing the move said re: the items being carried in in pieces ""well that's what insurance is for"". \r

Apparently when you buy ""insurance"" from this moving company they are self-insured, so there is no independent party to process the claim and deem what is reasonable. So they caused thousands of dollars of damage and offer $495. And they charged $1,000 for “replacement value” insurance. Do the math….they made money on top of the move by selling us useless insurance. A total fraud.\r

They also did not ship our car as contracted (covered car carrier), instead shipping it via an open car carrier, which should have cost much less. They will not respond to refunding the excessive charges.\r

When the car was received, I found a pair of sneakers in the back seat along with some other garbage, and that the front seats were moved all the way up, and that the heat was on full blast. There was also a foul smell in the car. It was clear that the driver of the open car transport was sleeping in our car during the move, very likely not taking a shower the entire trip across. Really gross....and no response or consideration of this by the moving company.\r

Go with someone else – anyone else is better than these thieves.\r
