Crowder College in Neosho is a junior college housed in buildings once part of the Ft. Crowder Army post. The campus has expanded in recent years to include new dormitories, the Elsie Plaster Center that includes a large stage and auditorium, and other buildings.
Two-year degrees are offered in various areas but the college offers much more. One year certificates in vocational areas that range from business to welding are also offered. The college also operates a truck driving training program that is known nationally and a nursing program that is highly respected throughout the area.
An Associate of Arts degree from Crowder transfers well to other four-year institutions in most cases but students are well-advised to know the requirements for graduation at Crowder and what is required at the school they plan to attend to further their education.
