These guys are to be avoided. They came in, evaluated the job and told us they could make the floors of three rooms and a hallway that we hired them to repair and refinish ""beautiful."" They gave us a firm price and a guaranteed completion deadline. When they finally showed up to supposedly start the work, they ripped up one room, said it couldn't be refinished and then left for the day, despite the fact that there were 2 other rooms and a hallway to be done. They left this first room wrecked - instead of reinstalling plywood as agreed. They showed up the next night, sanded one-third of the second room, then abandoned the job without a word and wouldn't return our calls!! It took a couple of days to finally get in touch with them. When I finally tracked down the owner, Mike Foster (with whom we had agreed the price, etc.), he said he ""couldn't do the job."" and that, ?I didn't have a contract with you."" ""My subcontractor didn't have a contract with you."" (Yeah, they brought their equipment over to do a little pro bono work??... what they did was create a huge mess and damage our floors and not fix or refinish ANYTHING...) He also said, ""We should have never taken the job."" ""Pine floors are too hard."" ""[My guy] should have never ripped up that floor."" ""It's your word against ours."" and ""I can't help you out any more (!!!) with that project."" HELP?? Uh, yeah, come in, rip the place up, leave debris everywhere and you can't HELP me anymore?! They knew we had delayed delivery of furniture and other workers to accommodate the floor work they were hired to do (they kept promising it would be done in time and that they would be using a ""fast drying"" product...). When I told him that they should at least clean up the mess they had created, he said he didn't want to hear my ""preaching"" re what he should do. Based on our experience, these are totally dishonest and unreliable people and I could never recommend them. Stay away; stay very far away.
