So bad 12/30/2010

I hope the owner gets to read this review. The staff at the Santa Monica store are awful. I have never experienced such ill mannered staff in my life. They are ignorant when it comes to apparel and ill suited to working in retail in general. The stock is ok though it's hard to find anything because there is so much cheap junk. Don't waste your time with Crossroads Santa Monica. more

Think twice before going here. 9/6/2008

I agree with two of the three who posted. The people who work there are very snobby. I went for the first time, waited a long time ( over 1/2 hour for the person who had already gotten started) and then there\r was another person with two bags. If I was ""#3"" does that mean I would be in the store for 1-1/2 hours?\r When I decided to ask about just leaving my stuff (which I did) for the 24 hour period, they just barely gave me the time of day. So, I drove back the next day and was told that they couldn't use any of my stuff, but\r no explanation and it was put back very messily into the bag. I had brought a second bag of even better stuff. She looked at it for 15 seconds, no exaggeration, and said we can't use any of this. I will not waste my time going in there again.\r I did get a very nice top that was marked ""1/2 off"" in very small letters on the tag. You have to look through\r everything to find these -- they are not separated.\r The store is neat and organized. Hey, so are places like Goodwill - that's just what a place should do.\r When you call on the phone to listen to what they are buying at the time, it is so vague : ""We are currently buying for summer."" Cons: Parking is tricky especially with the mall construction. more

Most Stuck up, boo boo place ever, for buying or selling this place is terrible all around, used clothing for that price? whatever 4/5/2008

I went here a couple of time to sell my clothes. Depending on which girl or gay guy you get depends on whether you will be able to sell something. If you want to sell stuff because you feel its a waste to dump it, just donate. This place only wants brand names because isn't that all that matters when it comes to clothes. Take a look around this dump. All you see are over priced items that are cheaper at a mall and at least at the mall the clothes are current and in style. I went there a week ago with dresses worn once and they stuck their noses in the air. What I was selling was far better that anything in there. I saw this worn out ugly piece of beep dookie brown tie dye shirt. Really? Store credit? No thanks. I wouldn't buy anything from there. Isn't this stuff second hand? I can get brand new for half the price. Don't waste your money here. You will always be waiting in a long line to try to sell your stuff, too. They always have just one girl who has to work the register too. Takes forever and is not worth the wait. All they will do is turn you down anyway. I think they are trying only to get designer stuff and upgrade their store so keep that in mind before you go. Do we really need another Designer store? Can't we get good deals for cool clothes? Well we probably can but not here. Don't go! Pros: nothing Cons: waste of gas, parking, waiting, nothing good to buy, overpriced, terrible customer service more

Depends On When You Catch It 8/25/2007

The first time I went to this store it was full of junk and the store was filthy. I recently went back and it was more organized and a better selection. However the prices are exaggerated for used Clothes. Come on. I also tried to sell really nice Sievngate jeans and tops and they sniffed their heads up. I would say you could do better with the sales at Macy's with New clothes. more

Treasure Hunt 3/22/2007

I love the Santa Monica Crossroads. Everytime I go in, I find at least one thing to buy. One weekend, I had a BBQ to go to and wanted to look really great, but had not a lot of cash. I found a great Custo top, some Blue Cult jeans and some really cute mettallic flats -- head-to-toe for $75. Can't beat that! Pros: lots of treasures to find, you can sell or trade to save money more
