We had central air installed this spring on a new-build home. The furnace installer had totally botched the ducting job, and they including fixing the ductwork to the furnace while they were working on the AC at no extra charge (we got quotes from other companies who would also do this job, but they all charged extra for this). Halfway through the installation job, our entire development suffered a power outage for nearly two hours. Instead of packing up and rescheduling, since they could not use any of their power tools and couldn't even see that well in our basement, they arranged to have a generator brought out from their home office and kept working through the outage, doing what they could without power. Although the generator did arrive but didn't end up working, they stayed for the rest of the day until the job was finished. The installers were both very nice guys and it was no trouble having them in the house all day. They even left the basement cleaner than they'd found it.
