Disappointing theatre considering location 7/1/2011

You would think a theatre at Citrus Park Mall would be top notch. We got there on Saturday afternoon. It took 20 minutes to buy a ticket as they had only three ticket windows open during rush hour and a ton of kids were on hand that day to see ""Cars 2"". We had no problem with the kids. That movie was playing on three of their screens, but why only three ticket booths and a line stretched outside the mall? The theater is beautiful inside with upstairs and downstairs levels and escalators. There is also a food vending station upstairs, but of course that was closed. Thousands of people had to stand in line downstairs to be served by only three cash registers and overwhelmed employees. I finally got my large popcorn, but had to go back later to get more butter for the dried out popcorn after I had eaten through the top layer. They do not have self-serve butter available. The line was a mile long and my picture was being shown. I did not have all day to wait in line. I went to the front of the line off to the side and tried to get the attention of a server. When I finally got his attention he acted like I was bothering him to ask for something so simple as more butter when he had a huge line of people to serve. But it was important to me. I think I will stick with AMC theatres from now on. They have self-serve butter stations and plenty of help on hand. more

Do not go to this theater for Met HD Broadcasts 11/8/2009

Citrus Park was sold out for the Turandot broadcast so I bought tickets for the HD broadcast in Wesley Chapel. What a difference! Citrus Park--muddy colors, tinny sound, fuzzy picture Wesley Chapel--crystal clear picture and great sound quality. It's a longer drive to Wesley Chapel but if you go to the Met HD broadcasts, it is well worth it Pros: Convenient location for Tampans Cons: Terrible picture quality and tinny sound more

Go the extra mile to Westshore and skip the Citrus Park theatres 1/1/2009

We have been to this theatre many times, only to be distracted by teenagers talking and texting during the movie. Another time, the first 15 minutes of the movie had no sound and when someone finally came, we were told the movie could not be restarted. Most people walked out. But more recently, my husband went accross the mall to Starbucks, bought a coffee, and proceeded in the theatre to see a movie and was declined entrance due to the coffee. Are you kidding me? Pros: Good location and movie selection Cons: Lousy parking, lousy popcorn, too many unruly kids more

Horrible management 5/28/2007

I sadly made the decision to see a movie last night starring Ashley Judd, this forum will not let me type the name of the movie, Sunday May 27, and myself, along with six other people spoke with the manager about getting our money back, or a ticket to see a different movie. A rather portly woman said that she didn't direct/produce the movie, and they simply play them. I understand this, at no time did I ever assume this seemingly round woman could possibly direct a movie, but she is the manager, in a decision-making position to hopefully keep her patrons coming back. I say it was rather bad business, and I will never frequent Regal Citrus Park Theater again. Cons: Management, therefore nothing else truly matters more
