Actually met a nice staff and bought a puppy 1/19/2007

The staff was extremely nice to me. I went into the store for about four days in a row looking at a puppy. Each day the staff talked to me and even recognized me the next day. We talked about the various animals including the birds and dogs. We ended up purchasing a dog and got a fairly good price based on that breed. We took the dog to the vet and it checked out as healthy with no problems. Maybe I just got lucky or maybe the staff has changed based on some other reviews, but for me I was pleased. more

Smells awful inside 4/11/2006

This has to be the worst pet store in the area! The smell is so horrible, you can hardly stand to shop. My kids like to visit pet stores to look at the dogs, but we had to stop going to this one because the smell about knocks you out. The staff, if you can find someone, is not very helpful and they certainly don't keep the place clean. more

Not pleased 3/24/2006

This is one of those pet stores that probably needs to close. Recently my family and I went in and "rescued" a black lab puppy from there. The store was dirty and smelly, the animals seemed generally un-happy and un-clean. The staff was hard to find and you could tell they really didn't want to help you when they saw you. The puppy we got was under fed, and very shy. I am not sure this is a good place to buy pets unless you want to rescue some of them. more

Service could be better 2/21/2006

Recently went in to get some litter for the cat. Wandered around the store, didn't see any staff. While it didn't smell when I was there, the staff seemed to be elsewhere. Found the litter, got a cat toy, and waited at the front register. If it wasn't for the fact that I didn't want to stop elsewhere, I would have left. I finally was waited on by someone coming out of the back of the store. The store is well laid out, it was easy to find things. There are small animals in the store, and fish. But the service left me cold. more

We did buy our 1st cat there 13 years ago and it was a really nice place run by some nice people but someone else has bought it since then and it isn't all that great if I could get these homemade cat nip bags somewhere else I would. more
