Best

The food is always good...their chips and salsa are the best. Hubby loves the enchiladas del mar (seafood enchiladas) - I get a variety of things from spinach/mushroom quesadillas...

Worst

They have fallen so far. This was our last visit. 30 minutes for food that takes 5. Fresh spinach was canned or frozen. Beans, ice cold. What a waste of a great patio. Never again...

They have fallen so far. This was our last visit. 30 minutes for food that takes 5. Fresh spinach was canned or frozen. Beans, ice cold. What a waste of a great patio. Never again will I waste my hard earned money on that place. Too much competition to be that bad. more

WORST MEXICAN FOOD IN DALLAS! 5/14/2010

DONT GO HERE!!! There food is nasty and my fajitas had hair in them!!! GROSS! The waiter even had the nerve to ask if I still wanted the fajitas that had the hair in them!! I will never go here again! Pros: NONE! Cons: Hair in my fajitas; cheap looking atmosphere more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER 11/8/2009

Took 45 minutes to get our food. The food was cold and inedible. We ate nothing and asked the the check. The waiter looked at our plates and handed us the check. He never asked what was wrong or if he could bring us something else. I am not even sure he spoke English. Cons: SLOW SERVICE, COLD FOOD, EXPENSIVE more

Our Favorite Restaurant 3/29/2009

The food is always good...their chips and salsa are the best. Hubby loves the enchiladas del mar (seafood enchiladas) - I get a variety of things from spinach/mushroom quesadillas to chicken enchiladas to tortilla soup to fajitas...all are good. Service is always good...food comes out quickly and is always hot and fresh. They have a really nice patio and have made it so it can be comfortable year round. Margaritas are always good...we like strawberry and peach. We go 2-3 times a month. Pros: Great Food, Great Service and yummy margaritas! Cons: Occasionally having to wait for a table more

Slow, Bland and ""Short Pours"" 10/24/2008

I have visited the Plano location twice. On both ocassions the bar service was slow, the $13 ""top shelf"" Margarita was weak. I also oredered a shot of 1800 to be served on a small cocktail glass and proceeded to observe the bartender's pour. When one is paying $13 for 'Ritas and ordering shots for friends on the side a bartender with a ""nervous"" pour is appreciated. This guy had the most steady pour I had ever seen and their measure of a shot is way short by the standards set by most other watering holes. Pros: Ambience and friendly hostess Cons: Slow with the bar orders and weak and over priced drinks. more

Nothing But a Major Disappointment 9/23/2008

I've tried Cristina's on several occasions just to give two different locations the benefit of the doubt and was equally disappointed, as were my guests, each and every time. The food was bland & tasteless...no flavors. The salsa and chips were even flat. I'd heard both positive & negative, but I will definitely side with the nah-sayers. For really good Mexican food, I will heartily recommend El Pueblito in Plano @ Alma & Spring Creek Pkwy. Pros: Easy to find, but I'd never recommend it to anyone. Cons: Basically, the food, #1; followed by the poor service; just a huge disappointment more

Huge portions! 8/9/2007

My sister eats here weekly, she can't get enough. The people are friendly, and the portions are big enough to share, but still so cheap! more

Standard Tex-Mex Fare 5/28/2006

Cristina's is a reliable place for standard Tex-Mex Fare. Most everything I've tried (enchiladas verdes, both chicken and steak fajitas) are good, but not spectacular. It's a trusty little joint for a work lunch (good lunch specials) or neighborhood quick dinner, but I wouldn't drive across town for this. Pros: Reasonable prices, Good salsa more

Incredible Find 3/31/2005

I almost hate to give an excellent review. It was hard enough to get in and get a table. This is the best Mexican cooking I've had since I left Mexico City. Prices were reasonable. When they say ""grilled to perfection"" they mean it. Gustavo was our waiter and he was warm, friendly and knew the dishes. I only wish they would expand the authentic Mexican dishes to include Chiles en Nogades. I think I spelled that correctly and other fantastic Mexican taste treats. The only flaw I could find was that so many people knew about it they were standing, waiting for tables and there isn't much area for that. We will go again soon. Pros: authentic Mexican, Service, Interior decor Cons: Crowded, Noisey more

Yellow stuccoed walls, iron-gated archways and Mexican pottery conspire to make diners feel transported to old Mexico. Although the menu is primarily standard Tex-Mex fare...
