Good Section 8, public housing apartments (HUD) 9/10/2007

Whether you are disabled or not, Crestview Village is good place to call ""home"".\r \r This complex sits atop a large hill and many apartments overlook historic downtown Liberty. Especially during the winter and holiday months, there's a GREAT view of the town and William Jewel College.\r \r Many residents are on disability and on subsidized rent, but there are regular rentals as well.\r \r The manager is strict (sometimes overly) and there's never doubt that he's all about business (which has it's drawbacks). He keeps a very close eye on the entire complex and definitely sees to it that there is no foul play, crime or problems in the area. This has proven to be a positive thing for this area in that it is a safe place to live and kept clean for the most part.\r The downfall to living at Crestview Village is the numerous inspections and other brief visitations that occur throughout the year. There are approx 3 inspections each year. One managerial maintenance and housekeeping inspection, one state inspection, one federal inspection and every other month there is a company that comes through spraying for insects. Also every few months, maintenance comes through to replace air filters and occasional other things. This can seem like ""strangers"" are here quite often, but the complex is kept in good condition.\r \r The maintenance man is a very friendly, down to earth man who cares a lot about the residents and is very careful to never invade privacy. He is well liked by all residents. Pros: A good place to call ""home"" for disabled folks especially Cons: The manager is a little ""ODD"" in many ways which can be aggrivating more
