Trust the bad reviews sorry to say. My repair should have taken 2-3 days. I would have been happy if it took a week. .... Took five (5) weeks. I didn't pay my deductible. That was great. Had to rent a car though. Deductible was $500. Car rental was $680. So the deductible gimmick did not help at all. I was also treated the same as the rest of the reviewers by the customer service dept. I called once a week during the five weeks my car was gone. On hold forever (28 minutes once) and broken promises on call backs. Repair was good though, not great but definitely competent. All in all a bad experience though. Too bad. \r \r Ps. The good reviews read suspiciously like they were written by crestview p&b themselves. Seriously, imagine a real customer saying any of that. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/11/2012

Disappointed. Crestview Paint & Body has had my 2010 Genesis Coupe for 41 days now with no end in sight. The initial estimate was $4,600 in damages and now they have managed to find an additional $6,000 that was overlooked on the initial inspection. They are up to $11,000 for a moderate right passenger side collision. They still haven't been able to provide any realistic return date for my vehicle. We appreciate CPB paying our $500 deductable, but unless they are also going to start taking over the $500+ monthly car payment, we'd really like to have our car back. We have already exceeded our rental car allowance of $1,500 waiting for my car to be repaired. Each time we call to get a status, we are put on hold for 5 to 10 minutes minimum while they go find out. Once they return, we are always told that they had to do some minor thing and that they are shooting for the end of the week to have our car back to us. For the first 3 weeks, we were understanding, now here in week 7 it's getting pretty old. We've even asked to speak directly with Ed Lowe, we have yet to have him available or to return our call. We feel that since Crestview Paint & Body has already received payment from our insurance company, that our car has been pushed to the side. We will NOT return here again with our vehicles. more

This business repaired my car with a bent frame when they should have totaled it. Now I am stuck driving around in an unsafe vehicle with my two children because unlike some people, I work hard for little pay instead of ripping innocent people off. I can assure you there is a reason they do not charge a deductable and it is to cover up the fact that they are crooked and doing everything they can to put the money in their OWN pockets regardless of the customers they put in harms way. :( more

Regret 4/28/2012

This place is a complete joke. Not professional at all!! The front desk workers are clueless as to what's going on with anything. They will not call you nor update you on the status of your vehicle AT ALL!! Even though we are military and our deductible was waived, it was NOT worth it. They had the audacity to tell us the vehicle may have to go to the dealer in order to fix something that they charged our insurance company for. We told them we were on the way to pick up our vehicle and they actually told us, ""Well we like to close a little before 5 so try and hurry""........I was thinking to myself Is this real life???? It actually makes me rage to think about the nonsense we dealt with. Would not send my worst enemy to this place. Rating: Negative 5 stars more

Great service 1/3/2012

I have always used Crestview Paint & Body for all my vehicle repairs. I have never had one problem with them. They always keep me abreast of what is going on with the repair. The end results have always been up to my expectation. I had my wreck on 12/20/2011 and with all the holidays my vehicle will be completed 01/06/2012 which is acceptable.\r more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY COMPANY EVER! 10/13/2011

-10 stars! Worst ever! Even my insurance company advises against this company! They lie! They don't return calls and put you hold for 30 mins! No lie! Hoping you will hang up! Stay away! Customer service SUCKS! Obviously the owner is independently wealthy and could careless! I hope that eventually the word gets around and they go under! more

BBB rates them ""F"" 8/19/2011

Don't be fooled by the good reviews that conveniently pop up whenever a bad review is written. Go straight to the Better Business Bureau website for proof of how lousy this business is. They're very adept at being evasive to any and all questions and attempting to placate you with a rebate. If ""AbsoluteSmith"" is in fact a real consumer (not an employee or someone with a vested interest in this business) then congratulations on being in the very minute percentage of satisfied customers. I'd say the risk is not worth the hassle. more

Good job! 8/18/2011

I was recently involved in a hit & run incident and needed repairs for my vehicle. The front driver fender was crushed and needed serious help. I got an estimate from my insurance company, dropped my vehicle off at Crestview Paint & Body and the rest is history. Though my vehicle was in repair for a couple of weeks; I had no out of pocket expense and the results were impressive and worth the wait. more

Go ANYWHERE but here! 8/16/2011

Let me start by saying that I'm only giving it a star because zero stars wasn't an option. Being new to the area I had no idea of the reputation of local shops. After being hit by an uninsured motorist, the police called this company to tow my car. I was initially impressed as the owner of the shop stopped by the scene and reassured me that my car was in good hands and that he'd even give me $500 off my deductible. \r The inspection was a week ago now and after not hearing a word from the shop I called for an estimated date of completion. I called for 3 days and was repeatedly told that ""a techician"" would call me back. No call, so I had my insurance company call. They got the same run around. On day 4 (almost two weeks after the car was towed there) I made an appearance at the shop and was told that they have no idea how long it will take and that NOTHING has been done because they're waiting for additional parts (which should have been noticed on original estimate) and further money from my insurance company. The secretary (who is the only person that would speak to me) reminded me that they were giving me a $500 discount and that she would call me. Oh gee, I guess I should just be grateful! Not to mention, I only have the rental car for 30 days which ends in only 17 days from now. Guess that $500 will come in handy extending the rental at MY cost. \r So unless you enjoy unlimited amounts of stress, never getting a return call or straight answer, being without your car for extended amounts of time, and being spoken to as if you're an idiot....GET YOUR CAR MOVED SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!\r \r more

Zero Complaints 2/10/2011

I would like to start by saying ""I was concerned before letting Crestview Paint & Body pick-up my car.""\r I read some of the reviews and had to call them first hand. I asked them about their ratings, and they assured me that was not their standards. They picked my car up that evening. \r The insurance company gave me a quote for the damage and CPB accepted it without questions. \r They said it would take about a week to repair, I called twice during this time and the customer service was great. I got my car back as scheduled and the repair was to factory spec. \r I would recommend Crestview Paint & Body to anyone who needs repairs for their vehicle. I had zero out of pocket expense, and the entire experience was outstanding.\r Thanks CPB!\r more

BEWARE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! 12/6/2010

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! You will be out of a car for weeks on in!!! Has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with! They have had my vehicle for 6.5 weeks and are still ordering ""Supplemental Parts!"" Every week I call and get put on hold for at least 15min. and get the same speech ""Yes, they are working on it now adn it will be done by Friday"". Well, its 4 weeks later and still no car! I called one time and was put on hold for 30min...called back and another lady answered and said ""Im sorry I dont know what to tell you everybody is at lunch, call back this afternoon"" DO NOT GO HERE!!!! more

Worst Body Shop In the USA 9/23/2008

Crestview Paint and Body is without a doubt the worst body shop in the USA. They completely botched up my repair, used used parts and charged the insurance company for new, my paint was extremley bad and the car rattled all over. This was on a 6 month old car! When I asked to speak to Mr Lowe, the owner, I was told that he was not there, I saw him slip out the back door with my own eyes. This man is a coward and is ripping off the public. The insurance company is investigating the claim but have told me that Mr Lowe has good lawyers that always find a way to cover up for him and get him off. No case has ever made it to court. If you don't want your car messed up beyond repair then please ask for another shop's wrecker at the scene of your accident. My car is now in the Percision Auto Body in Crestview and they are attempting to correct all of Crestview paint and Body's mistakes. They told me it was not the first one. I only wish someone had warned me before I fell for their lies. If the other rater here really did get a good repair then I am happy for them, but I suspect that the reporter works at the shop. Cons: Terrible work, bad attitudes, unprofessional more
