Take Your Pet Elsewhere 12/20/2011

I am very upset right now! In mid to late October, I noticed that one of my Pomeranian's bottom teeth (incisor) was looking yellow. Knowing that he had a November 1st appointment for a bordatella booster, I just kept an eye on it and continued caring for his teeth, as normal. Well, at his appointment, Kathy (who also checked us in at the desk) came and got him from the lobby and took him to the back for his booster. When she returned him to me, I told her I would like an estimate for a dental cleaning. She told me that the last time the vet checked his teeth, his tartar level didn't warrant a cleaning. That was back in April or May, though. I showed her the tooth that I was concerned about, and showed her the build up on his back teeth. She said it isn't as bad as it looks, and that considering risks associated with anesthesia, it would be best to wait until February or March. She sounded friendly and knowledgeable, so I thanked her and went on. Last week the tooth began feeling loose. I took him to another vet, who recommended a cleaning and extraction of the tooth. Today, he is at that other vet for a cleaning. They just called to say that they removed the loose discolored tooth, as well as the ones that were right beside it. He is only 5! I just feel that had this been addressed in November when I alerted the staff at Crescent, maybe he could have kept his teeth. I'm sick about it, sad, and angry. Do not trust them with your precious baby! more

Fantastic vet that really cares 8/20/2011

I have been taking my 3 dogs to Dr. Moore for years. I think she is a fantastic vet and have found everyone in the office to be helpful and nice as well. The staff always discusses everything that will be done and I never feel pressured to do anything extra. Beyond being a great vet, Dr Moore is also a genuinely nice person. I have never felt rushed by her or her staff and even if I haven't been in for months she still remembers details about my pets and even my family. Crescent Vets is definitely a 5 star business. more

Great vet 8/11/2011

Dr. Moore is very thorough in her exams of my dogs. The exams are always done in my presence. I had a 15 yr. old Yorkie who became ill & she was very supportive of the decisions I made & very compassionate when I had to have her put down. Her prices are very competitive. more

Questionable 6/23/2011

The vet seems knowledgeable and friendly, but the staff sometimes contradict what the vet says. The pet's examination is not done in front of you, so you do not know what they have checked and haven't checked. Vet and staff seem to not place any importance on what you say about your pet. I question their integrity--whether or not they are milking your visit for every test, medication, and other forms of revenue they can think of. Will not return. more

Great Vet 10/12/2008

Dr. Moore and her staff are the best I have used since moving to Georgia. I do animal rescue and Dr. Moore has helped me with a couple of rescue kittens. One was very ill and she did everything she could to help and did not try to do unnecessary testing. Another kitten needed a specialist which she recommended and turned out with great results. I like the fact that she is willing to take the time and talk to me. She was never in a rush to get me out of the office and always answered all my questions. Because of how she treated this foster kittens I now bring my own animals to her even though she is further away. I also always recommend her when I adopt out an animal. I have heard back from several of the people that I have adopted animals to and have never heard a complaint. I would highly recommend Dr. Moore more

Convenience, cleanliness, compassion... Your pet is her client! 8/24/2008

So many people just like to complain, never looking at their own culpability in a given situation. That being said, yes there does seem to be "turnover" in the staff. Hiring qualified people willing to WORK can be difficult. I feel for Dr.Moore having to deal with people who wait to the last minute in taking care of situations that require immediate attention by the pet owner and then they like to get mad because they dont like the fact that she will tell it straight up. Personally, I respect that. She puts the pet first, they are her client! Her compassion is unquestionable, she guided me through the difficult decision of euthanizing our pet. I will never forget that "sometimes this is the greatest gift that we can give our beloved pet" more

If you like not being listened to.. 8/7/2008

then this is the place for you!! Dr. Moore will ignore everything you say and treat you like you are an inconvenience instead of the clients who pay her bills. But don't worry the staff changes so often they won't be able to help. It is clean. And most of the staff is nice, when they work there more than 6 months. Look elsewhere if you want a good experience. more

Clean, caring & competent 2/29/2008

This is about as stress free a vet visit can be for your fur baby. The waiting room is spotless and does not smell and there is little waiting as I've been taken back to the exam room upon arrival. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and caring and based on what I've paid for services/products from other vets, the prices seem very reasonable. Hey, they even send birthday greetings to your critters. more
