Creatures has awesome shoes. I always find styles there that will never be found at any other store in / around Austin. They only order a few sizes of each shoe styles so that you don't run into people all over town wearing YOUR hot new shoes. I'm not scared to tell girls where I got my cool shoes anymore, cuz i know they'll have to be lucky to grab the same pair. HA HA! \r Everything they sell is high quality. There might be some Vegan shoes across the street but if you're going to be animal conscious, you should also pay attention to where these shoes are made.... like China! If you want ""man-made shoes"" make sure you're not buying child-made shoes. . . . they're so inexpensive for a reason. more

my new favorite! 11/15/2006

i just shopped at creatures for the first time since i saw it highlighted for shoes at citysearch. i was pretty amazed at the unique selection. the designers that they carry are all very high quality and well worth the money. i also saw vegan selections so i am not sure what the previous review was all about. the clothing selection was very special too! it's a new favorite for me. i will be back again and again. They have unique designs for shoes, but they only use leather. If you are trying to buy a new pair of shoes that are animal friendly, this is not your place. I prefer Goody Two Shoes right across the street that has some really cute shoes that are mostly man-made and so much cheaper than Creatures. Pros: Different designs for shoes Cons: Expensive, Only Leather and Suede more

best place to shop 7/31/2004

i love this store! creatures always has something new and hip. the couple that own that shop can't be any nicer. i always enjoy going by. they carry lots of local artists work as well as other individuals from around the globe. the best part are the prices. oh, and the shoes!!! so great. camper, fluevog, gola, penguin, fly, all the brands men and women look for. tons of cool t.shirts for men, women and babies. this is one of my very favorite shops in austin!!! Pros: reasonably priced, customer service, very unique items more
