Would not recommend Creative Countertops. What a mess. Substandard installation and poor service. Research showed us that broken granite cannot be repaired despite assurances by the owner that it was acceptable. The granite broke during fabrication at the sink apron in 2 places was glued together. We were never informed and it was installed anyway. The installer went on to install without repairing chips, or finish edges around sink interior and oven. We could see and feel the break in the granite it is so obvious. The island had scratches not caused by the original cutting. All the while the owner, was trying to tell us this was acceptable. We were lied to, the granite wasn't sealed until we insisted; the backsplash had to be refabricated because it didn't fit properly. When the repair crew came out the 'make it right' they made a mess of my new cabinets. They told me I should have known more about granite and it's properties before I chose it. We downloaded the industry standards from the Marble Institute of America and spoke with them and all of the work done by the owner and the crew was so substandard and unacceptable they were appauled. When I told the owner that I should have been instructed on the care of the granite per industry standards, he told me to ""clean it with windex"", which we later found per the MIA would remove the sealant. This was an $8000. job. Before you hire any granite contractor go to the MIA website. The granite around the sink is a nightmare and will need to be replaced at our cost because we no longer can trust this horrible company. Please see the pictures. In the middle of the close up picture you can see the breaks in the granite after the 'repair'. The larger picture shows all of the blue tape areas that had to be repaired and the area where the backsplash was removed. Broken granite is not repairable!
Cons: Dishonest about product, rude installers
