Great Zoo! 4/15/2014

Actually we found this Zoo very refreshing. A wonderful change from the normal concrete and gunite zoos most people frequent. It was early spring so most of the "green" wasn't in bloom yet, but we found it to be very interactive, educational and an experience not to be missed. To respond to the review about the tiger enclosure, after listening to the Keeper Talk, it's a new exhibit with work still going on and play structures were being added shortly. And we saw three Oryx, maybe you should have looked harder. It's a very natural environment and the animals looked very healthy and well cared for as was evidenced by numerous babies and expectant mothers. If you're looking for million dollar exhibits, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for up close experiences with animals you don't often see at other zoos, this is definitely the place to be! more

Poor Tigers. 4/12/2014

Not worth the trip at all. #1 Worst zoo my family and I have ever been to. The Oryx appeared to be in an enclosure completely alone, as a herd animal it looked very lonely. All of the animals looked bored out of their minds, especially the tigers and Black Leopard (who was kept in an enclosure no bigger than a small room. Some of the animals listed on the site, weren't even there, including the African Leopard. I have never seen such a HORRIBLE, CRUEL enclosure for tigers in my life. The were in a small-medium size fenced in area of dry dirt. That's it. There was no green in sight, no plants, no toys, no climbing structures, no big rocks to lay on, no pools (tigers love water), nothing. They were kept in a dry dirt square. The fence was surrounded by an electric fence on the inside, so all they did was pace back and forth, keeping their distance from the fence. The staff was very nice but that does nothing to make up for the terrible enclosures. I hope that they change the enclosures to more appropriate, natural versions. We came because based on the pictures, it looked very open for the animals and natural. I've never been more wrong. Not coming back and not recommending it to anyone. I truly pity those animals. I will try to add photos soon. On the website it says "The habitats are designed to mimic the animal's natural environment." Ha! I don't think so. You would think from the other reviews that they went to a different zoo. more

A real educational, fun, exciting, personal experience for the whole family!! 6/15/2013

I have been to so many zoo's and Creation and the team that works there are extraordinary people. They know our names, laugh and talk with us about the animals they live and care for, educate us about how we are impacting the animals future and in turn ours. That guy you see out in the sun digging holes and building enclosures is the owner. Yes he will stop what he is doing and gladly talk to you about anything. With a smile too. You are greeted by his wife who is also always happy to see you and help in any way possible. These people keep the admission low so you can enjoy what all there is to learn about these magnificent animals. This place is like no other. Go! Enjoy! Support real education and conservation. These people do this for us, future generations and the animals...not for money. Love for Creation!! more

Best little zoo 4/17/2013

Just visited with the family this week. All I can say is WOW! We were expecting the same ole zoo experience you get at every zoo, but received much more - first class knowledgeable staff, impressive array of animals and lots of interaction. A real conservation zoo doing real work for animals. 5 stars! more
