Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

You can certainly buy me breakfast but only if it is at Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Alexandria, La. on Calhoun Drive. This Cracker Barrel has a very good breakfast menu and you can order it at any time of the day. I personally like the Maple Pancakes with the famous Cracker Barrel Maple syrup in those really cute little bottles. These pancakes are moist and perfect every time I order them. You can order them with a side of meat of your choice, but I like "just the pancakes".... adding meat would make it impossible for me to finish the whole plate. The price for this plate of three large Maple Pancakes is a mere $4.99 plus tax and tip. I might add that the service is worth the tip. Many times the service I receive at restaurants is not worthy of a tip but here at Cracker Barrel I always feel like the watier/waiteress deserves a nice tip because of the doting, attentive, service I receive. Cracker Barrel and Old Country Store is a good place to eat. You can have breakfast any time of day. They have daily lunch specials. I enjoy their grilled catfish. It is very tasty and filling. Of course, the homemade biscuits and cornbread are delicious too. I do not like to have to wait to be seated, though. It seems that eveytime we go to Cracker Barrel we have to wait for a table. It is annoying, especially when you see empty tables all over the dining room. I have always surmised that they make you wait to be seated so that you will shop in the country store long enough to find something that you just can't go home without. When I am hungry, shopping is the last thing on my mind. I wish they would just seat you as soon as possible and then when you've finished eating you can shop until you drop. I can't shop on an empty stomach. How about you? more
