Cozymel's Mexican Grill - El Segundo

I moved into LA about 2 years ago and started looking for places to eat as we eat out a lot. My family and I LOVE mexican food so naturally finding a good mexican restaurant was one of our first prioritys. We drove around and stumbled across Cozymels which was oblviously a mexican restaurant. We went inside and where met by a friendly hostess and she told us it would be a 15 munite wait. While waiting she gave us a menu to look over and even sugested some items on the menu. We where the seated and when the waitor came he asked for our names. From thyat point on he adressed us by names giving the restaurant a personal feel. I had the chicken enchaladas but the waitor segested I try the cheese sauce over the top instaed. It was AMAZING!!!! All together with great food, a friendly hostess, and great effort from the waitor I give this resturant 5 stars. It has since become our regualr and we go there very often. Cozymel's in El Segundo has a great bar and excellent service. They serve the BEST mojitos. The ambience is nice and decorative. The service was fast. I especially loved the shrimp cocktail appetizer that was served in a cocktail glass with garnishes. I will definitely go there again and again. My co-workers and I have made this our weekly Wednesday watering hole, immediately after 9 holes of golf at The Lakes (around the corner on Sepulveda). We kick the night off with a round of Cadillac margaritas, which never disappoint. They serve them in huge blue glasses and they never skimp on the liquor. We tend to get fairly boisterous as the night progresses but the management never gives us any problems. The food is great as well, with plenty of options on the menu. The chips are weak but the salsa isn't bad. Overall, a great hangout in the notorious LAX ""dead zone""! Pros: Powerful Cadillac margaritas and friendly service... Cons: ...but the margaritas aren't cheap! more

The food here is simply exquisite! If you're one of those who are obssessed with ""authentic"", please go to Mexico and leave the rest of us alone. This is Mexican ""style"" cusine with a creative flair like no other. The finest cuts of meat, lean pork and chicken, the freshest seafood, all await you. The salad dressings alone are brilliant! The service was akin to what you'd find at a restaurant charging $32.00 for an entree, and the two of us got out of there for under twenty bucks! Pros: everything more

Cozymel's is amazing. Their fajitas is state of the art. I introduced this place to my friends and they all fell in love with it. It is now a tradition for us to go there at least once a month! Pros: great food, great margaritas, great service more

I love Cozymel's coastal Mexican. It is forty miles from our house, and we make the drive t least once a month. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, but the margaritas are! So are the tacos, flautas, and the fiesta salad, not to mention the outstanding salsa and yukon rice. Its worth the trek from the Valley! more

My experiance at cozy mels was well... interesting! the food needed work...what was with the flaming cheese? The drinks were way better, in fact the bar or the bartender was the highlight of my night and morning. Oh my God! What was in that margarita? I've had Margarita's at some of the so called ""Best Margarta"" spots, but I've tasted none better then Cozymel's blended Cadillac/no salt. They are strong and very, very tasty. Also, try the jerk chicken pizza. Thin tortilla crust, strips of chicken, mild peppers and lots of cheese....DELICIOUS Pros: GOOD MARGARITAS, FREE PARKING more
