It is hard to write this review because the people at Golden Latern Animal Hospital are very friendly, warm and inviting. However, I feel like they are somewhat scattered brained and unorganized. First off let me say that I am a new pet owner, I have never had any before. When I took my pet to their offices for a new pet examination they said that she was in perfect condition. The next day I noticed that she was scratching her ears profusely. I looked in them and noticed gobs of dark wax. I looked this up on the internet and realized that she had ear mites. I made an appointment for the following day, took her in and they said she had a pretty bad case of it. Why did they not check this on her complete new pet exam? When I brought this up, I got no answer. The next week I noticed small rice looking things all over her sleep area. I researched the internet and found out that she had tape worm. I took her in, they said they gave her medication, and she should be fine. For the next week I continued to see the rice things. I called and they said that it was normal for the animal to secret these, it shows the product is working. I looked this up on the internet and found out that this is NOT normal and that the worm is supposed to dissolve from the medication. I took her back in, and guess what! They had given my pet the mediation for round worm, not tape worm, even though I was explicit with them on the initial visit that it was tape worm and had called a few times to check up with them why the medicine appeared not to work! I hope from these examples you can see how completely scattered and irresponsible the vet team is at Golden Lantern. I don't trust them with my pet, I had to be a medical investigator on the internet the entire time I went there. Don't just take you pet anywhere. Research vets, because I would hate for your pet to suffer from a serious illness that does not get treated (or mistreated) by these vets.
Pros: Friendly staff, nice office
Cons: Bad communication among the vets, irresponsible, lack of customer service, dangerous
