Editorial review from Citysearch 3/5/2014

This place is awesome! The owners could not possibly be better! They care about every horse an every rider that comes to their barn. They have soooo many helpful hints and tricks that have helped me so much in a very short amount of time. They don't waste your time with useless non sense like lots of others do. They know horses and they know what they are talking about. \r \r In a previous comment I read the person said they keep their cows in the indoor arena and that the arena is gross. That's a load of bull **** their arena is very well kept, not full of cow manure. The dirt is thick and well maintained! \r \r After the first evening I met Chelle and Mike I felt like I had known them for years! They were very straight forward and kind. They treated me like I was a friend and not just some client. I will continue to take my horse there and be taught by them for as long as I can. Its all around a great place! I highly recommend it!! Nothing left to it. They are very nice about last minute cancellations on my end, and they reschedule as soon as they can and consider what days work for me. Mike stood in the arena in 19 degrees just to work with me and my horse because that happened to be the only day that worked for me that week. That is true dedication if you ask me! more

I LOVE IT HERE! i have boarded 2 of my horses at coyote moon for over a year now. i have no complaints. the horses are very well cared for and the energy here is very warm, loving and laid back. true, this place isn't run on a strict military like schedule, which is fine by me. if you want a barn where your horse will be safe and happy and the boarders are nice and the barn managers aren't crazy, this is it. just remember one thing first, chell and mike will NOT tolerate any type of drama what so ever! which to me is my favorite thing about this place. i didn't think there was such a thing as a drama free barn, (since we all know how some horse people can be lol) but it does exist here. this place is full of love and respect and that's why i am still here and hope to be for many years to come. more

Fantastic Place 7/6/2010

We have been coming to Coyote Moon for over a year now. My daughter is taking riding lessons from Chelle and has improved exponentially. She joined the 4H Club and loves the new friends she has made. Pros: Compfortable, close to town more

Awesome Barn for the entire Family 6/9/2010

Great place! My 10 year old started riding there this past September. She loves it! She joined 4H & takes riding lessons from Chelle. It has done wonders for her self esteem & she is learning to ride correctly & to take care of her horse. My 4 year old loves to ""help"" with the horses by feeding them. She will take riding lessons when she learns to listen a little better. We are very happy with CMR & will recommend it HIGHLY! As a matter of fact I have recommended it to many. The trainers are very laid back & personable & give a care about the kids they train. I can only say to the other negative reviews, that they get what they give. Let me spell it out. If you are rude - others are rude back to you. If you are treated unprofessionally - it's because you are unprofessional. As the saying goes, what goes around comes around! IF you listen to what the trainers are telling you then you will succeed. Mike trained 8 kids for OHSET this past year & they all medaled in district, one set a new district record & they all qualified for state. Results speak highly. Pros: Great trainers, beautiful surroundings, FUN!! Cons: drama caused by imbeciles & rejects more

In response to the Awesome barn review, they are not ""real trainers"" Professional trainers laughed when I told them that mike an chelle gave lessons. But thats okay, you will figure it out, once mike and chelle decide that your money isnt good enough anymore. more

Looks arent everything 11/15/2009

The place looks good; the owners are unprofessional and their schedule regarding arena use can change without notice. Not in your favor. There is very little (almost none) communication regarding your horses activities/welfare. They do not notice missing shoes, swollen legs, bites, scratches. If they were noticed it was not mentioned. Stalls are frequently cleaned with the horse in the stall. I witnessed a stall cleaner hit a horse in the chest with the cleaning fork and yell at the horse to stay on its side of the stall. Your horse could stay indoors in nice weather if someone just didn't get them out to pasture or if the pasture your horse uses was needed for some cows. The indoor arena is almost never watered, even if you request it. Cows stay in the indoor arena all fall/winter. You must remove them to ride and let them back in. Cow poop is disgusting in the indoor arena. Cows and roping take precedent at this facility. If you are into that you may fit in. If you don't fit in be prepared to be shunned, even ignored, find rude notes and suggestions that you leave on the dry erase board. I paid my board on time, in full every month, gave thank you gifts if someone held my horse for the Farrier and cleaned up after myself every visit. There are some friendly folks there and they certainly made my barn visits better. Pros: big outdoor arena Cons: unprofessional/no communication more

Welcome home 2/11/2009

In November of 2007 we started going up to the ranch. At first it was kind of uncomfortable. Getting to know the routine and the owners, as well as the other boarders. Our duaghter had some challenges to over come and without the help of coyote moon ranch she would not have made it. Not only has Chelle given her lessons, she has helped build our childs confidence and self esteem. Coyote Moon Ranch is a training and boarding Ranch. They also sponsor a 4-H group ( that pays nothing to use the barn) that Chelle gives her time and knowledge to constantly. I have spent many hours there watching other children receive lessons from Chelle and Mike giving roping lessons. I agree they are not always professional but when you have so many different children and boarders sometimes it is better to have a friendly environment rather than a cold bussiness approach. Our horse has been there for a year now and has had constant care. Chelle loves each one of those horses and cares for them daily. I would recomend Coyote Moon Ranch to anyone looking for a family barn with awesome care. Pros: Wonderful Trainers on site and beautiful setting. Cons: Parking can be a challenge at times. more
