$8.00 for a glass of pinot grigio??? Are they kidding? I will NOT be back. Two nicer restaurants in the village don't even charge this ridiculas amount!!!!!! Our server told us the salsa only had ONE temperature and it was way, way too HOT.........I will never go back. Shame on them for those horrible wine prices!!!!!! more

Super chow, friendly nutty staff, dirt cheap 6/5/2008

We love the Coyote, eat there a lot for under $10 for two people. We always split an entre, never leave hungry, and sometimes have left overs enough for another meal! Best chorizo around, love the beans (I daydream about the beans for a couple days after eating there). Crazy friendly lady greets and seats you, she is always over the top nice and accommodating. Ask the staff for a special appetizer: spinach beef que'sedilla. Romantic and fun place. They have some kind of mobile taco unit, too. more

Small, cozy, busy on weekends. They serve chips and delicious salsa before your meal. They have a variety with lots of specials. Worth checking out, reasonable prices. more

Not Authentic 8/3/2005

The only time I dined at Coyote Cafe I ordered the quesedillas and they were way too greasey. I couldn't finish it and I was disappointed. more

Gourmet Mexican! 1/2/2004

The Food is EXCELLENT, one of my favorite dining options in Buffalo. The food is creative, unique, and delicious. However, be prepared for pitifully poor service. I have seen great service, but the staff is often slow and unattentative. I have had to go & get my own drink refills. I once had to go into the kitchen and ask to be seated. The food keeps bringing me back... it really is great, and the atmosphere is fun. Pros: unique menu, good food, Atmosphere Cons: parking, service more

Hidden in Hamburg 10/13/2002

At least it is on Main Street! This Great family owned restaurant is one of the best places for dining in the Buffalo area. Most dishes can boast authentic Mexican flavor. They are one of the few places in Buffalo that serve hot and spicy entrees when they tell you that it will be hot and spicy. (Hard to find in Buffalo where they try to season everything with Franks red hot) I have tried most of the entrees and they still have me going back time and again. Don't miss their Happy Hour where they serve up some of the best Margaritas in the area. They even include a few mild dishes for kids or palates that can not go the distance. Enjoy! Pros: Authentic Flavor, Margaritas more

I would agree-most authentic in Buffalo 7/13/2002

Coyote Cafe is a small unassuming Mexican restaurant in Hamburg that is quite good for this area, especially in a town where it is very difficult even to get a half-way decent taco! (No, Mighty Taco simply doesn't cut it!) Coyote Cafe has good tacos. They have excellent enchiladas, too. You can get tamales that are wonderful. And, if an entree says it is hot and spicy, believe it - even if you are from the south and know most places don't have a clue. This, more than any other place in town, is the real deal. more
