It's closed 5/28/2009

This place closed years ago. Why is it still listed? Okay, Citysearch want me to write more, I could go off on a rant about all the problems with citysearch, but I think I've reached 100 characters, so why bother? Pros: free! Cons: can't actually get any food or drink more

Best Margarita 8/2/2002

One of the few places you can still get fresh Spinach Enchiladas & they are out of this world. Their salsa is homemade and some of the best I've ever had. Portions are incredibly generous, the people are friendly and helpful and the prices are low. Best Mexican food in Cary. Great place to be when there's a band out on the patio! Pros: fresh ingredients, distinctive tastes, friendly bar Cons: darts while you eat more

Editorial
  • The Scene
It's possible that Cary has a reputation for being homogeneous and lacking spontaneity. Luckily, that's not the case at this popular Mexican joint. In addition to its cozy neighborhood atmosphere, the Coyote Cafe also attracts an upbeat crowd, both young and old, for live music--especially when it's warm enough for the Coyote's great outdoor courtyard.

    The Draw
The Coyote Cafe books a good mix of local musical talent that goes well with their tremendous selection of beer and popular Southwestern food. The adjoining outdoor courtyard, a.k.a. "The Oasis," is a nice space with a great stage and plenty of tables (note: the door back to the bar is located beside the cactus on the large mural). The bands start playing early in the evening, but the music lasts until 11:30pm.
