I recently brought my cat in to Pet care Assoc. after it had been in a fight with another cat and its cat bite became infected. They gave me an estimate of $324 or if they did not sew up the bite and put a drain tube in it would be $198. I opted for the lesser charge (I didn't have $324 that day for this emergency care) and I would be giving my cat medical care for at least a week and keeping her in. The vet called me into the back to again asking if I did not want to have them do the more expensive treatment, and basically using my emotional feelings for my animal to "up the treatment cost". I told her that I wanted to do the best thing for my cat if they felt it was completely necessary and the best thing? When they finished, I got my bill and it was $440 not the estimated $324. After getting upset about the bill, they took off some of the charges, and it was stil $402.
