We switched from a McLean pediatric dentist to this full-service, full family practice and have been happy for the past 5 years. It's easy to schedule appointments and the practitioners and staff know us, greet us, and give us good care (including filing insurance forms with our primary and secondary plans). One child required orthodontia and we were well pleased with the treatment plan. Another child was told she didn't need ortho treatment -- how rare is that in NoVa -- so we were again well pleased. more

Took my 10 yr old son there a while back, who never had a bad dentist trip until this. Never saw an actual dentist in 5+ visits. Each visit had to be rescheduled or they had some excuse why a real dentist wasn't available. They wanted us to make one visit for cleaning and another visit for a checkup -- incompetent! Each visit, they took impressions of my son's mouth (not fun!) to see if he needed braces. But, they refused to tell me if he did. He would come out almost crying each time. Went to a competent orthodontist (Allen Garai) and dentist (Mike Ternisky) who said that my son was well overdue for some serious dental care. My son has had very positive experiences with these competent professionals and I highly recommend them. more

I have been a patient of Dr. Covel (now Covel, Stack, and Hienen) for more than 25 years (even though I now live 30 minutes away)! I have always received excellent care, and over the years, I have actually seen their customer service improve-- the wait time is virtually non-existant, and they make every effort to get you in and out as quickly as possible. The hygenists are all friendly and efficient, and make every effort to make you feel comfortable, even those who hate the dentist! I have been seen by all three dentists, and they are all professional and efficient, and instill a sense of confidence in their ablities. more
