Best

Something that we tried when we were there was 'tequenio' is like fried white cheese wrapped by wheat flour dough with a guava sauce dip, for appetizer ..and tried othe Venezuel...

Worst

I ate at this establishment........or tried to eat shall I say. we ordered our food and 20 minutes later, the waiter told us that my choice was unavailable. We patiently waited ...

Dissapointing 8/9/2007

I am sorry to say that even though I am from Venezuela this place needs lots of improvement. more

Best deal in town 7/27/2007

Delicious food and great atmosphere at some of the most reasonable prices in LA. Sit outside and people watch along Canon Dr. or sit inside and work on your latest novel, either way be sure to snack on an arepa just like the ones I've had in Caracas. Friendly staff, great vibe, a perfect place for any meal or snack Pros: Location, Food, Service more

Delicious! 7/26/2007

Great ambience, fabulous service, and lots of options. Make sure to try the Venezuelan specialties. more

Best home-made Venezuelan food in town! 7/25/2007

Coupa Cafe is a place I like to call my ""second home."" I always know that I will get a great meal, whether it's a simple salad or one of their specialty Venzuelan dishes! Alongside this delicious food comes excellent service. Coupa Cafe's staff is very accomodating and very friendly. No matter how large or small my party is, they always cater to our every need. What I love most about Coupa Cafe is that they have a little bit of everything to eat...pizzas, salads, panini sandwiches, Venzuelan dishes, and most importantly delicious Venezuelan chocolate desserts! Pros: Ambience, service, food quality, open all day more

Awesome place, great service 7/25/2007

I had a late lunch here with my buddies after work last Thursday and we had an awesome time. We had some beers and cocktails and the waiter was telling us about the Venezuelan food which I think none of us had ever tried. The place was pretty packed so it was a cool environment. We had quite a few drink and tried a bunch of the venezuelan dishes, the cachapa i think its called, this big corn pancake was really good and in general a dope place to chill out and not feel like you have to eat and leave. The service was awesome super attentive to us and they explained all about the venezuelan food. Definitely coming back! Pros: Different food! Great service more

AtrociousService 7/22/2007

My girlfriend and I have tried this place twice, and both times we have left disappointed. While the food is decent fare (my girlfriend is a native of Venezuela, and, thus, knows what an arepa should taste like), the horrible service more than outweighs the quality of the food. Each time our waitress was clueless as to the content and taste of the dishes (we brought guests unfamiliar with Venezuelan food)...to make matters worse, during our last visit, the waitress brought the wrong item out (after already confirming our order twice), and then the manager proceeded to argue with us about how we should eat the incorrect dish. Pros: Good arepas Cons: Slow/bad service more

Best dinner spot 7/10/2007

I came with my boyfriend and some friends for dinner friday night it was amazing! It was my frist time at Coupa Cafe my friend had recommended it and it was really great. I had these venezuelan things called arepas unbelievable i had never tasted anything like this! so different really tasty! the service was really good our waiter was telling us the story behind the restaurant and all about the venezuelan food. They have a nice wine list and it was happy hour right when we go there so we had some 2 for 1, great deal! the best part of the night was the dessert! oh this dessert called tres leches i guess three milk in english unreal i am definitely coming back to get this! amazing place, beautiful decoration! definitely recommend it to anyone anytime! Pros: Amazing food, beautiful decor, great service more

Best hot chocolate I have ever tasted! 4/25/2007

There is one great reason I will keep on coming to this place, the Spicy Mayan Hot chocolate. I know Coupa is known for its coffee but every time I go I order the spicy hot chocolate which is just excellent. The food is also great, especially the arepas (Personal favorite is Domino) and if you only want a snack go for the pastries which are delicious. Pros: Great food, drinks and pastries more

much more than a cafe! 4/25/2007

Coupa Cafe offers great food, great service and great coffee, all wrapped up in a original, friendly package. Personally, the modern architecture and mix of ambiances makes me feel right at home. They have a big outside seating area, a friendly inside area, and a cozy fireplace area. My favorites plates are the eggs Benedict, the salmon, and the filet mignon; delicious! I've also tried the pastas, the crepes and some of their tasty Venezuelan plates (arepas, empanadas...). Your taste buds are definitely going to thank you after any of these dishes! Pros: Varied ambience, varied food, great service! more

Exceptional 4/24/2007

I went to Coupa Cafe with my girlfriend for dinner and sat by the fireplace...it was truly an amazing meal! I had the salmon which was real tasty and fresh. My girlfriend had the pabellon, which she loved as well. The chocolate mousse we shared was phenomenal and the espresso's were as good as I've ever had. This is one of those very unique places that is perfect for a date without being stuffy. The service quality was great, as were their reasonable prices (for LA!). I will definitely come back next time I'm in town! Pros: Food, Service, Romantic Cons: No Coupa in NYC:( more

Delicious Dinner and Very Friendly Service 4/24/2007

My girlfriend and I met here for a drink and it was delightful! The service was great and the food was even better! Arepas are the thing to get...they are light and delicious. Coupa's happy hour is awesome-we took advantage of the 2 for 1 and had several glasses of wine. They have a cozy fireplace area and outdoor seating so it's a perfect place for meeting friends. The Caprese salad with eggplant was very good, as well.Everyone was very nice and they greeted us with a smile. Pros: Great food, Delicious Tres Leche!!!! more

Great food, amazing service and the perfect meeting place! 4/24/2007

Coupa is AMAZING! The food here is absolutely delicious. It has the greatest quality and the dishes are very nicely presented. They have an array of Venezuelan dishes such as arepas and empanadas which are very tasty and original and definetely worth the try! If you have the chance to go, you should also try their filet mignon with french fries. I go to Coupa as much as I can with friends and family. I've also taken coworkers and have loved it! It's great for anyone, even if you want to work or study since they have WiFi. Go to Coupa if you're looking for great original dishes, a pleasing environment with subtle music and the best service in the area! Pros: Service, Food, Ambience, WiFi more

amazing food, amazing service, and amazing prices! 4/23/2007

This is an excellent restaurant!! Try their arepas or pabellon for a taste of their delicious Venezuelan dishes. They have a great selection of salads, paninis, crepes, omelettes, entrees, desserts, etc. more

Delicious, Unique Food in a Beautiful Space 4/23/2007

Coupa Cafe is fantastic - seriously, a great place with really unique food in the heart of Beverly Hills. The roast turkey panini is delicious, the arepas (their specialty, a Venezuelan-style cormeal sandwich with different meat fillings) are diverse, but every one of them is great, and the burger is well prepared and presented quite well. Pros: Decor, Unique Food, Location, Coffee Cons: Pampered Beverly Hills kids that walk past the cafe with way too much gel in ther hair more
