Editorial review from Citysearch 10/3/2012

We took our baby to County Line. She was having a hard time breathing. They took her and we thought they were treating her (oxygen, x-rays, etc) and around 2 pm we get a phone call telling us that she died while EVERYONE went to lunch. Hurts so bad because no one was with her when she left us. Wish we could go back in time and take her some place else. more

has changed to an unsafe place for your pet 8/20/2010

There was a time when I would have said great things about this vet however, the new "vets" they have working are horrible they are rude to people and seem to care nothing about animals. After years of being a customer you will never see my business again!! Not only are the uncaring but truly they caused harm to my dog and only cared that I paid the fee regardless of the harm they had done. You should not be in the medical field if money is all you care about! I wish I could give no stars more

Prescription Problems 3/5/2009

I own five dogs, so it gets expensive for the flea, tick & heartworm treatments. I found a supplier online for the meds that was $30 cheaper than what they charge at this vet office. I asked for the prescriptions and they didn't want to give it to me. They asked that I could prove it was cheaper online. I brought in the copies of the prices and never got a call back. I went ahead and ordered the meds and forwarded the vets phone number to the supplier. Then the vets office called and said they would charge me $15 per prescription. That's BS! They are my dogs. I can get their meds where I want. I advised them I'm getting a new vet. One that will appreciate the money I spend. I also have three horses. They just lost a BIG customer! Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Cow Dead / Unprofessional Staff 9/24/2008

would not advise any one to go to this Vet. I called them in May to come out to my ranch to palpate some of my cattle. Dr. Sanders palpated the cow and ended up tearing her intestine. After the next couple of days the cow couldn't even move, I called them and they suggested I take the cow in to the office, I took her and 1 week later she died. She would have had her calf late July. Since then I have been getting the run around from the office and their insurance. They won't return my phone calls and when I call they will not speak to me I had to call them several times just to get them to give me the name of the insurance who was handling the claim. After I had the information of the insurance they would not return my phone calls eighter, I would leave messages day after day and never get a response. Finally I called again its now September only to get information that it was no negligence on the vets part who just happen to go with my regular Vet that day Dr. Kassup who kept on giving him directions on how to perform the exam ( cause he didn't know what he was doing, it took him 30 minutes constantly sticking his hand in and out of her) The response from the insurance was that just as with any procedures there are risk and her intestine ripping would be on of them. Dr. Kassup examined the rest of the cattle and never had any problems ( because he knew what he was doing) Also I have a horse which Dr. Sanders advise me to put him down because he had a cut on his front leg and that wasn't going to get better he would not even examine him or give him any pain medicine. I decided to treat the horse myself with an anti-inflamatory cream and some penicillin and the horse is now great walking all four legs. If I would of listen to him, the horse would of died for no reason. This just goes to show you how much knowlege Dr. Sanders has when it comes to treating and examining animals. Stay away from this place, unless you want a routine check up to cost you your animals life more

This place should have 6 stars... they are wonderful...GREAT EVERYTHING 6/26/2008

County Line is wonderful!! Their vets are the most caring vets in San Antonio. Dr. Bowman especially!!! The techs and assistants are very compassionate as well, along with truly loving animals. I live in Cibolo and drive all the way to Adkins to take my dogs and goats to. I've never known an office with so much to give to my animals and to me as well. This place has been there for years and comes highly recommended... After your first visit, you'll see why!!! Pros: Thumbs way up!! Perfect paitient and owner service!!! Heart driven...not to see how many patients they can get in, in a day. Cons: absolutely nothing! more
