There is no one else I would trust more with my dog Rocko than Dr. Rainey and his staff. We have been going to Dr. Rainey ever since he opened up in La Grange and have always been satisfied with the care he has provided for our animals over the years. more

Best Vet 7/19/2014

Couldn't ask for a better vet for my 2 dogs! I had taken my dogs to other vets in the past but was never satisfied with their services. If it weren't for Dr.Rainey and Ellen my 5 yr old dog would've died from a enlarged heart that other vets had failed to detect. Now both my dogs go monthly for a "spa day", they get their nails and teeth done and a bath. more

We have been clients at Countryside Animal Hospital since 1997. Dr. Rainey and his staff are very professional and I feel that they genuinely care about my "babies." I can always trust that they will lead me in the correct direction when it comes to caring for my older animals and Dr. Rainey has not been afraid to tell me when the time has come to let go. I feel like they are an extension of my family. Great place! more

Another Life Saved 12/15/2010

Sandy is my cat that I have had for 14 years and one day out of the blue she couldn't hardly breathe and I knew if I didn't get her to see our vet that she may not make it through the night. It was 5:50 and I called our vet. They told me they could not get me in because they were closing. I was hysterical. I thought Sandy was not going to make it. So I called around to other clinics and finally someone said that they could help me. It was Countryside Animal Hospital. The receptionist told me that Dr. Rainey is always around for emergencies! I was so happy. I met with Dr. Rainey at the office around 6:30 p.m. and thank goodness we did because he said that she wouldn't have made it. He took care of my baby and now she is able to live the rest of her life. I thank Countryside Animal Hospital everyday when I get to love Sandy. Once again, THANK YOU!! more

Nickel and Dime, the bottom line 7/30/2010

I have a different opinion of this veterinarian, as I had a very different experience. It is my opinion that the vet is more concerned with charging erroneous fees than with the welfare of my pets. I took my dog in for a nail trim and was charged an additional fee, which they labeled as a "restraint fee" because my dog is nervous and required a muzzle. It was also the first time I was never presented with a detailed receipt. I asked for one and then they complied, clearly they didn't want me to see the additional fee. I wonder what outrage a family would feel if insurance companies began charging more for nursery care for cranky seniors or babies whom cry alot. Sorry that my dog is nervous around strangers, but having to pay an extra fee for this is really ridiculous. I have now moved both of my dogs to LaGrange Animal Hospital. They are far more caring and tolerant of my dog's nervousness and unease around strangers. They certainly don't charge extra fees for this. more

Professional and Careful 1/11/2009

I have worked with many medical professionals over the years, including many veterinarians across the U.S. I was greatly pleased to find that Dr. Rainey and his staff demonstrated the professional concern and thoroughness that I want for my pets. No "shot and wormer" vet here! They work with me to obtain the information that they need to fully advise me. I may not want to get everything my pet may need in one visit, but now I know what is needed or desirable for my dog and cats. I particularly like the move into an Integrative Veterinary Medicine practice. The addition of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to our Western medicine gives my pets more options in both diagnosis and treatment. Having studied Medical Anthropology at Michigan State, I know how much effort Dr. Rainey had to expend to learn these new protocols and begin to use them on their patients. This Integrative approach is the future of medicine. more
