Editorial review from Citysearch 9/11/2013

I highly recommend avoiding this facility at all costs. There are far better SNF's out there. Country Villa is filled with incompetent employess. Be aware that your loved one's doctor will probably refuse to see their patient because of Medicare consolidated billing practices at Country Villa. Medicare will pay the facility but they REFUSE to pay the doctors. NOT a trustworthy facility. Check out their ratings with the state of California. Many many violations. more

My father was released suddenly and prematurely last Wednesday. He was told on admission that he could stay 26 days, from January 14 until February 4. Then a release date of January 28 was projected - but finally they insisted (and I mean insisted) on releasing him on January 26 - before we had a chance to put home care measures completely in place.\r \r Father is in worse shape than before his 2 day hospitalization. He cannot feed himself as before, or get himself out of bed, or even shift his weight in his chair. I think he had a slight stroke which at Country Villa that went undetected. Very understaffed, and over optimistic about patient condition. Avoid more

NOT The Place If You Have A Choice 5/29/2009

All smiles, but totally inefficient. I know, I know...caring for the elderly is difficult and many times thankless. But if you are in the business, then you should attend to that business. Seriously understaffed which is what probably leads to the inefficiency and poor attitude of staff. We were told by relatives of other patients (and consequently learned on our own), your loved one needs someone there to take notes and follow-up on anything and everything with the staff. Dougle check food orders (items missing from tray), physical therapy schedules, changing bed linens (good grief!). Once the staff saw that we were watching everything, care and service changed dramatically. Pros: Close to the Hospital Cons: Understaffed, Poor Attitude more
