Happy Living Here 1/31/2012

I have been a resident of Country Oaks Apts. for almost 8 years and have been extremely happy living here. It is a very safe, clean, and beautifully landscaped environment. The managers and leasing staff are friendly and helpful and the maintenance ""guys"" are quick and efficient. I would highly recommend Country Oaks Apts. to anyone who is looking for a new place to call home. more

Awesome Place to Live 1/31/2012

Being a senior in college has brought about its challenges, but I will say, choosing to live at Country Oaks definitely wasn't one of them. I find myself often times wrapped-up within my work and other aspects in life, but Country Oaks is always helpful in reminding me to pay fees and help get my stuff in on time. And even if I am a few days late, Country Oaks have shown extensive grace in handling the situation on several occasions. Although there have been a few obstacles to overcome, what has taken place, has been handled in a very professional manor. Mostly (at least, from what I can tell) the complex consists mostly of new families, old couples, and maybe a few quite college kids like me, who moved away from campus for peace and quiet. It's been a great experience. more

Come Join US 1/20/2012

I highly recommend Country Oaks as a wonderful place to live. It is different that any other complex I've lived in, because the office staff is friendly, courteous, and efficient in every way. Their attitude is reflected in the appearance of the complex. The maintenance staff is outstanding. I have absolutely no complaints. It is truly home. Come join us. \r more

Home Sweet Home 1/20/2012

I have lived here about two years in a three bedroom apartment. Since move-in day till now, Country Oaks has been home sweet home. The staff here are wonderful and any problems that arise are solved in a professional manner. The location is great in conjunction with the University of Tennessee. I would highly recommend for anyone, especially college students, to check out the apartments here. The quality of service, location, roomy apartments, and peaceful atmosphere should be enough to consider this place. more

Office Will Screw You Over 3/7/2010

Be careful with the leasing office. They tend to purposely find ways to overcharge you. I paid a pet deposit 350 dollars and my dog died, so I got a new one, and they insisted that I pay a new 350 for this one. I had not even lived there three months at this point. Then I turned in a rent check three days early and I suppose they misplaced it. After rent was due they called and left me a message saying I owed them rent and extra 100 dollar fee for being late. They refused to take any responsibility and said that I had until the end of the day to get them a cashiers check or money order for the due. I do not recommend this place for anyone purely for the fact that they will attempt to steal every bit of money out of you. This place isn't nice enough to pay that much for. more

Only because there is no 0 stars 5/11/2009

The properties are ok, plenty of noise travels between floors, could hear the neighbors dog howling all morning long. \r \r The office will try to screw you when you leave. My rent was $650, but after my second year they changed it from a 30 to a 60 day notice to vacate. I go turn in my 30 day notice and am informed they are going to charge me for 60 days regardless. On top of that they are going to raise my rent $150...\r \r So now I am being charged $800 for this small crappy apt. because they refused to let me out of this extra 30 days that I didn't even know they had slipped into the lease agreement. \r \r Anyway, who requires a 60 day notice? I didn't even know I was going to move 60 days in advance. \r \r Ultimately I recommend avoiding this place like the plague, at the very least be careful what you agree to in the lease so that they can't screw you over like they did me. Pros: maintenance staff is friendly and fast Cons: the office staff is filled with heartless people more

Be careful when you apply 9/9/2008

Be careful of the management at this place. I applied for an apartment and was put on the waiting list. I had to pay $150 and was told that $100 was refundable if they did not find me a place. However, when they did not find one in the time period I had applied for the management informed me that they do not refund the community fee at all. Very shady business practices. more

Very old and noisy apartments 4/29/2008

Very old and noisy apartments. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing above you. And I mean everything. Look for a townhouse or a top floor if you decide on here. There are a lot newer and nicer apartments around Knoxville for the money. Prices have gone up dramatically in the less than 2 years since I've been here. \r \r Rooms are very spacious but utilities (fridge, oven, a/c,) are all real old and prone to breaking down. Maintenance crew is nice, though. Office staff is nice but they close the office on every conceivable holiday. Parking can be tough and they will tow you if you don't have their parking sticker on your car. Good if you don't mind living next to college kids and are not looking for anything fancy. Pros: Very spacious rooms, nice location next to Papermill Cons: Very loud, very old, starting to show its age. Lots of college kids. more

Loved living here!!!!! 3/1/2008

Lived here for 2 1/2 years and loved it. Staff was always very friendly, and kept good office hours. Maintence was fantastic, repairs usually done in 2 days. Easy to work with and is a great environment for both students and young families. Pros: Great Staff, dishwasher and w/d hookups Cons: Towing can be a bit ridiculus sometimes more
