A very average grocer 7/26/2005

Having used to live right around the corner from The Country Market, I would often jaunt down there for convenience shopping. If I wanted to by some meat for dinner or needed to pick up another case of beer, I would walk down there or swing by on my way home from work. The Country Market is a very average grocery store. The meats and deli can be very hit or miss. Sometimes they have some great looking steaks, other times it looks like the rummaged through another store’s dumpster. I really see Country Market as a Super Size 7-11 as opposed to a full grocery store. more

Great little Grocery Spot - Free PoP?! 7/24/2005

This little grocery store in East Lansing used to boast "Free Pop while you Shop" ... they had a soda fountain with tiny cups that you could fill up with pop while you shop. While I'm not sure if they still do that (I haven't been to that part of the store in awhile), they are still a great little grocery/alcohol store ... and they have a wide variety of both. Their prices are a bit high compared to the chain grocery stores, but often times it is more convenient to visit a local place like the Country Markett, instead of driving to Meijer or Kroger. Highly Recommended more
