Counseling and Referral Svces

I was having a few issues after my grandmother passed away. I couldn't talk to anyone else because they just wouldn't understand. She wasn't just my grandmother. She was my best friend and pretty much raised me. My mom abandoned me and my father passed away when I was younger so I relied on my grandma to carry their burden of raising me. I was advised to see a therapist or counselor if you will. I slowly made my way to Dr. Mikes office, I remember feeling embarrassed and nervous. Immediately after meeting Dr. Mike I felt better. He has a very calming personality. Our sessions were jam packed full of me explaining my feelings, desires and emotions. I shared things I have been holding inside for many years. I realized not only did I miss my grandmother, but my mother and father as well. I decided to search for my mother and possibly make amends. Something as a closure deal I had to complete. I have only recently been able to let go and live in good memories rather than sadness. I have made a complete turn around which enabled me to even start my own family. I am still very afraid of being abandoned or death in my family leaving me alone, but I know now that things happen as a reaction of people and their choices. I just wanted to thank Dr. Mike for all his help. more

Dr. Mike Sherry came recommended by a close family member. She knew I was going through a rough time with my wife leaving our family to start a new one with another man. My son Vance and I were devastated. She had been a bit spacey the last few weeks but when I offered marriage counseling she broke down and told me it was over. She was tired of her life with me and needed a change. Being only 11, Vance took it hard. He just didn't understand what had just happened to his life. Yes, we were always "bonded" but with something as pain stricken as his mother, my wife leaving us for a new life with another, it bonded us on a much deeper level. My son was able to hear my side and even witness my weakness in our sessions. I have been trying to be strong, but deep down my world was torn apart. I was able to break down and just cry. Dr. Sherry explained the normal responses, and new feelings we were having giving us confidence that we were NORMAL. I couldn't have gotten past this time in my life without Vance and Dr. Mike Sherry helping me through. And I know Vance wouldn't have connected with me if it weren't for him and his teaching either. I owe a lot to him and just want him to know how grateful we are for his efforts and guidance. Worth every penny plus some because you are paying for his time and skillset.
