Davis Funeral Home, run by a bunch of hacks 4/29/2008

\r Davis Funeral Home is run by a bunch of Hacks. Very unprofessional and all they are looking for is to squeeze as much money out of you as they can. If you deal with Davis Funeral Home you will never be able to rest in peace. Pros: not a damn thing Cons: very unprofessional, greedy, surprise fees after it was prepaid. more

We were pleased. 8/1/2005

We used Davis Funeral home after the deaths of both my parents. The folks at Davis were wonderful. They were professional, respectful, and did everything we asked of them. They weren't pushy salespeople. We appreciated their sincere willingness to help us choose the best options for our parents services. The funeral home is clean and comfortable. They have various sized viewing rooms, depending upon how many people you expect at the service. You can opt for something simple, or something fancy. They helped us with church services, too. I've attended other services at Davis over the years, aside from my parents', and I've always been pleased with the job these folks have done. PROS: Professional, helpful staff. I trusted them. CONS: more

Let Us Help You.

Owner Message
  • At Davis Funeral Home And Memorial Park we care for our families.  It is an honor for us to be able to help your family during such difficult times.  The cemetery began as Paradise Memorial Gardens in 1969 at which time it took a long dusty ride for most to visit the cemetery. During the 70's Paradise Memorial Gardens added a full service funeral home and in 1977 was purchased by the Davis Family and the name was changed to Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home and Paradise Valley Memorial Park. In 2005 the name was shortened to Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park.

Our cemetery is approximately 40 acres and we have 8 acres of undeveloped property. We have 10,000 + burials and entombments, an onsite crematory, 3 mausoleums, private family estates, cremation gardens, many beautiful features, and are an Endowment Care Cemetery ensuring that even when all of the property is developed and sold the cemetery will be maintained as a beautiful park.

The heritage in our park begins with the Paradise Mausoleum built in 2003. It is a 2 level mausoleum featuring a fountain water feature, fully maintained restrooms, elevator, private balcony, upstairs sitting area, climate control for the cold winters and very hot summers, and a beautiful chapel area. The mausoleum allows families an alternative to ground burial as well as the features already mentioned. Mausoleum entombment is one of the oldest forms of burial. We also have 2 additional mausoleums, our Garden of Roses and Chapel of Peace. These buildings offer limited crypt space, but there are available cremation niches and unique glass front niches for those families wishing that type of interment.

Davis Memorial Park has been the choice of many politicians, celebrities and prominent people within our community. We have the gravesite of Sonny Liston, Sonny was a formidable boxer who became world heavyweight champion in 1962. He later lost the title to a young Muhammad Ali in 1965. Bo Belinsky was a Major League Baseball Pitcher with the Los Angeles Angels under owner, "Singing Cowboy" Gene Autry. Bo threw the teams first no hitter and first no hitter at Dodger Stadium in 1962. We still have many Angels fans visit and pay their respects while visiting Las Vegas.

You will see here at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park we truly do care for our families and that it will always be an honor for us to be able to help your family during such difficult times. Our commitment to families is the foundation on which we were built. Our commitment is to create a meaningful, everlasting tribute, and provide you with a safe and beautiful place for your family to visit for generations. We're not just here for you at the moment, we're here for you always.
