Nice Selection, Some Great Deals! 4/3/2006

It's taken me a year to figure out what of their inventory works for our family. What I mean is that, we used to go in and buy items on a whim and now we have more of a defined list. This makes shopping there a much more pleasant experience, although we still do buy random items! I think some of their best deals are on their non-food items, however, we still do get some great deals on their meat and some of their frozen goods. This store is VERY crowded, but I agree with the above poster that going right after work during the week is the best time that I've seen. more

Bane of my existence 4/3/2006

I have a love/hate relationship with Costco. I love the prices and the high quality produce, but I hate the long lines. During the day, you have the stay-at-home moms with their kids crowd, and in the evenings you have the after work "let's pick up something" adults. There does not seem to be anytime when this particular Costco is not busy. Someone told me that this Gaithersburg Costco is the busiest Costco location in the country! I believe it. The best time that I have found to go is Friday evenings, right as it is about to close, around 7:30 pm-8:00 pm. Good Luck! more
