Cost Plus World Market

I spent 200.00 on a smaller patio set to use outdoors under a stone patio covered with a very high canopy. I was told at the store by the GM(Chrisitna) and another sales associate that the furniture would stand up to the elements without any treatment required. I actually scotchgaurded the product and after the first rain the set is ruined. I spoke to their "customer service" folks and I was told "that I should have read the product guide that comes with the set. After listening to the "customer service" clerk read from a scripted answer book in the section that is I sure is called "disclaimer section" it is obvious that in this economy a store that is considered high end, wont stand behind their products or bad information that comes from the GM of the store. Apparently, World Market doesnt need repeat business, and their customer service ends when they say "debit or credit" more

I bought furniture from World Market ( table, book shelves, wine rack, dresser drawer set) and unfortunately I feel so stupid to even think this place had decent quality products. The furniture was assembled by the store and it has been less than 6 months and screws are coming loose, and drawers are falling off. The furniture is crap! This was a terrible decision. I will never buy anything from them again. Some of the things they sell can be found in any asian grocery stores or even Walmart for much less. This place is a joke. Don't waste your money at World Market like I did. more

This place has practically got it all. There are foods I haven't even heard of. They also have a wide array of wine also showcasing some of the high rated wines to try. Also, the furniture looks really exotic and different from stores like Ikea. If you also need a pot or pan that makes tortillas or a wok, then go to cost plus. Oh, and the candy selection is great, too more

Cost Plus has some of everything. There are imports from every corner of the globe! Their kitchen section is particularly impressive, with beautiful tableware from Japan and cooking implements from Thailand. The furniture is exotic and beautiful, and the food section is a great place to stock up for a truly unique pantry. more

This store has entire sections that are dedicated to continents. For example there was an area with Chinese imports, handcrafts, furniture, and lighting. There was an other area with just African things. There you will also find a great selection of food and hard to find drink that is imported. more
