When I decided I wanted to have a botox treatment, I was very nervous about finding the right doctor. When I went in for my consultation with Dr. Sarshad, I felt comfortable immediately and knew he was the right doctor for me. He was knowledgeable friendly, and professional. The office is sparkly clean and the staff is more than accommodating. I had my treatment done the same day as my consultation, to avoid waiting and having to make another trip. I am VERY pleased with the results and will definitely return for more treatments in the future. more

When I found Cosmetique Medspa, interviewed the staff by phone, and had my first appointment with Dr. Ramin Sarshad, I knew I had stumbled onto the jewel in the crown. Dr. Sarshad is a combination of everything you want in an M.D. specializing in the joyful and emotional visual art of cosmetic medicine. He is kind and understanding while discussing and recommending appropriate procedures and options. He is alert, dazzlingly bright, fully conscious, and hears everything you say, including your non-verbal language. His ready sense of humor and relaxed, capable nature put you at ease during these delicate discussions and, although he is current with every new procedure and product, he remains admantly conservative about using them until they have been thoroughly studied and used--often by other colleagues in this art--before he deems it sufficiently effective and appropriate for his office, his clients. The cherry on the top of this elegant doctor is that he has a spectacular eye for bringing out the unique design and capabilities of your face. The moment you enter Cosmetique Medspa, you are met by a friendly, professional staff who are also efficient, knowledgable, charming and artful in choreographing you through your appointment. They take great care to keep your information confidential in the presence of others. They are on time for your appointments and understanding of your budget. I am SO SO SO thankful that I found Cosmetique! My friend had been raving about how impressed she was by the IPL treatments that she had at this spa before hand, but to be honest, I had my reservations, considering I have had my share of unfortunate experiences with other med spas on the westside. So, I figured " What do I have to lose with a free consultation?" . I admit that I initially went in to Cosmetique with a bit of a chip on my shoulder based on my past run- ins with unprofessional spas.... It was unbelievable how comfortable I felt right off the bat. I actually went out of my way to quiz the frontdesk people with as many questions as I could come up with to see if they even knew what they were talking about... I was pleasantly surprised! Then I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes of my scheduled time and he showed me before & after photos of the IPL and basically gave me all of my options... I didn't feel pressured in the slightest... I ended up buying a package of multiple treatments in February and I have to admit I was apprehensive with dropping money up front. Now, that I have completed my last session last week... I can't even begin to put into words how thankful and impressed I am by everyone at Cosmetique and my RESULTS!! wow... You definitely have to stay committed to staying out of the sun... which is a challenge living at the beach, but SOOOOO worth it!! Anyone with sun damage or discoloration... try it!!! Going to Cosmetique was a life changing experience. I always wanted to have my face have that even tone look, but couldnt find anything that worked. Being that I am African American, I felt that there wasnt a solution for the texture of my skin. I had unwanted facial hair that I wanted to get rid of and my face was so unevenly toned due to shaving so much. Because of the price of the procedures, I thought only movie stars and rich people could afford to have great looking skin. Cosmetique changed my mind in a hurry. Dr. Ramin Sarshad was up front and very honest with me about the Laser Hair Removal procedure and skin care system I am on. After 2 weeks, I thought it was not working and wanted to give up. But I put my trust in his system and after only 3 1/2 weeks, my skin is looking 10 times better. Not only was my skin transforming, but it was less than half the price of some other spas I checked out. My experience at Cosmetique Med Spa has been tremendous! I am so glad I was patient. I've just completed a series of 6 IPL treatments and I absolutely could not be happier with the results and the way I was treated by the Dr. and entire staff over the last 3 months. I have to admit I was a little nervous going in, being a guy, the "spa" experience to me always felt like something more geared towards women, but that was QUICKLY dispelled as soon as I walked in. From the time of my first consultation visit the staff was friendly, welcoming and always made me feel completely comfortable. The Dr. took his time reviewing my condition, discussed the various options available to get the results I was looking for and then placed the decision in my hands. No pressure selling, no pushing me to do anything, nothing, just the knowledge and then it was up to me. In addition to the 6 treatments, the Dr. also wrote me a prescription to utilize a medication he thought would also help get the results I was looking for and he was right on the money with his diagnosis. I noticed a difference in the tone and texture of my skin after each visit, and I'm going to continue using the medication he prescribed to help maintain my results. Each treatment was the same with him and the entire staff, warm, extremely friendly, and most of all, when going through the treatments, they were comforting. I either applied numbing cream myself in the car ride over, or one of the awesome staff members did it for me prior to the session. I'm not going to lie, IPL can be uncomfortable, especially when you've got pale swedish skin, the laser really soaks in, but the numbing cream definitely helps, and the Dr. is ALWAYS very aware of your comfort level and takes his time with each session to ensure it isn't more uncomfortable than it needs to be. This spa is a GEM!!! The doctor was great and walked me through the process of a Fotofacial. I was a little nervous at first since I have about a million freckles. It was soo easy and my skin looks amazing. Just in time for the Holidays and I couldn't be happier. Pros: Everything!!! especially the westside location!!!! more

Wow! Is all I can say... I visited them for the Fraxel laser. I received four treatments and can't believe the difference. My lines by my eyes and mouth have totally diappeared. My skin is so much more tight and youthful! I am so pleased with my results! I was so apprehensive because it was a bit pricey, but it was SO worth it! I loved the staff! Very friendly and extremely accomodating. Pros: I look younger! Cons: A bit pricey.. definitely woth it! more

I had been researching Botox for over a year and decided to give this place a try -- staff is very friendly and down to earth, the facility is very nice and comfortable (parking needs help though). Dr. Sarshad made me very comfortable and explained everything very thoroughly. He's very friendly, real and patient. I had Botox and Restalyne done and after 5 days -- I am ECSTATIC at the result! I'm just bummed that I didn't go see him a year ago :) more

One of my co-workers recommended this spa in the past and because I'm going to be 51 this year, I decided maybe it was time to actually schedule an appointment. It turned out to be a great decision. I had botox around my eye area and restylane for my laugh lines. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and wasn't pushy... the only problem is... I can tell this is going to become addicting! I totally disagree... I got eyelash extensions and was really happy. I unfortunately have really short lashes and finally I can leave my house without mascara! Really happy with my visit! P.s.... I also ended up getting restylane and was extremely pleased! Staff very pleasant & professional! Pros: Very comfortable and knowledgeable staff Cons: It does take about 2 hours more

I tried Eyelash Extensions at this spa and it was not what I expected. I have had eyelash extensions before at another salon and liked the results. At this spa, the lashes came out clumpy looking and the procedure was uncomfortable. There were multiple times where my eyes had to be open and the chemicals burned my eyes. more

All positive reviewers appear to be one-time reviewers - slightly odd? Also, Dr. Sarshad isn't a board certified dermatologist, he's Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine . more

I'm getting married this summer and was looking for a place I could start getting regular facials. I found this place on Citysearch and made an appointment. I ended up getting the microderm and facial with Stephanie (never had a microderm before), and it was GREAT! My skin was a little pink after, but in an hour it had cleared up and my skin looked so much better. I really recommend this place and will be going back! At first I went in for a facial and found that Stephanie, the aesthetician was very knowledgable and friendly. We got to talking and I asked her about the brown spots that I have had on my face for a long time. After my treatment I talked with the nurse, Erin, and she suggested some treatments to get rid of the spots. Erin had earned my trust and I signed up for one of the suggested treatments, a photofacial series that got rid of my spots! I think going to this place was the best thing I could have done and I am so happy that I did it! I feel great and the spots are gone and I feel so much better about myself and my appearance. I started going for the facials which have done a lot to improve my skin and I was so impressed with the highly knowledgable staff and the doctor that I decided to ask about laser hair removal. I first had my armpits done and then my upper lip area and I am so happy with the results! I don?t carry a razor anymore (and I travel a lot) and I don?t ever have to worry about unsightly hair growth anywhere. I?m going to have my legs done next then my bikini as my budget allows. I was so tired of driving to Beverly Hills for my Botox, but I am extremely picky! I was very apprehensive to try a different location, so I shopped around. I came across Cosmetique on the internet and decided to schedule a free consultation. To be honest, I was impressed from the second I walked in the door. The office is modern and very clean! The staff was extremely friendly, yet very professional! Dr. Sarshad was great!.. He answered all my questions and I didn't feel pressured at all. I actually ventured to ask him about laser hair removal as well and the nurse was very knowledgable. I ended up setting up a package for that too! I'm 42 and prefer to dash out of the house without applying makeup, but brown aging spots on my forehead and an uneven texture to my skin was discouraging me. I checked out Cosmetique. Their staff was very open and friendly, and they talked me through several options and answered many questions without pressuring me one way or another. Well, heck, I'm on a budget, so I decided on the Obagi facial system. Three months later, and the change is noticeable! The brown spots that I've had since early 30's are almost entirely gone, and my skin tone is evening out and glowing. I'm looking more like that fresh-faced girl I used to be. The pros of Obagi: price and effectiveness. Cons: you have to be willing to dedicate to a daily routine and have patience the first 6 weeks your face goes through the initial changes. But it is worth it! I also indulged in a series of laser treatments for my bikini line. Hooked! Love it. Will indulge in other treatments as budget affords. Thank you! The friendly & knowledgeable staff and the doctor at Cosmetique have really done wonders to improve my self esteem!!! I was having acne and hives when I moved here in July and I decided to get a facial. I found Cosmetique on Citysearch and was really impressed with the classy office, the professional staff and I felt the doctor was very knowledgeable and looking out for my best interests. I never felt pressured to buy anything. I also had a lot of brownish areas on my face with more on the left side and I didn?t know what it was. It turns out it was sun damage from living in the mile high city and doing a lot of driving-THANK GOD it wasn't cancerous! I wasn?t feeling comfortable leaving the house without make up and after a series of IPL treatments and a facial package, the spots and the acne/hives are all gone! I not only look better but I have more confidence and better self esteem! And I leave the house without coverup now. Now I?ll try eyelash extensions since I?m not doing make up anymore! I've had IPL treatments at Cosmetique for several months now and I've been very happy. First off, I liked that there was NO pressure at all from anyone there. I was a little leary to go in because anytime you do a free consultation, you expect pressure and a "big sell." The staff was friendly and low-key. I went in to see if they could help my rosacea and mild adult acne. The doctor reviewed my case and looked at my skin, then recommended IPL to help with both. I was hesitant to spend the money on a package, but after speaking to him for a while about how it works and having him patiently answer every single one of my questions, I signed up. Looking back, I'm so glad I did. Not only is my acne a lot better, but I don't have the constant bright red, irritated appearance on my cheeks anymore from the rosacea. I noticed a big difference after my first treatment and it's only gotten better each time (I've had 3 now so far). I also did a couple of microdermabrasion treatments after my 2nd and 3rd IPLs to enhance the effect. My husband and my friends cannot belive the difference in my skin! I get botox for headaches (ok, ok, it's also to look good!). I've tried various offices, plastic surgeons, etc for this service and now that I've found cosmetique, this is the only place I'll be going. They are good. Nice atmosphere (smells so good in there!), quality products and the doctor is very gentle and patient. I will be back!!!!! more
