Classy restaurant amongst big chain eateries 3/26/2006

Cosimo's isn't the place you'd expect to find next to Wal Mart and Home Depot, but give it a try and you will be pleased. Whether you decide on a brick oven pizza or one of their large pasta dishes, you will be pleased. The creativity used at this Italian eatery stands out from the Newburgh crowd. It's Italian with a twist, in my opinion. I agree that both the wine list and the list of cocktails (Cosimo's has great martinis!) are extensive, with some higher end choices included. I've never gotten around to dessert at Cosimo's because I"ve always been so full from bread and my entree. more

Great Italian Food 8/25/2005

Best calamari I've found anywhere (and we order it almost everywhere we go because we like it so much). Great wine slection. Gourmet pizza. The menu selection isn't huge, and that's a minus if you eat there as often as my wife and I do, because we're running out of new things to try. Don't go if you want a steak, obviously ;). They also make a great ceasar salad with huge flakes of fresh parmigian and the best tira misu (spelled that right?) around. Spent $85 for 2 including wine, appetizer, entrees, desserts (I had the homemade canolli) and tip. more

Cosimo's 8/10/2005

I usually go to cosimo's at least once everytime I come home from college. I must say it is one of my favorite places. It is often filled with kids working who I went to school with and it's a great place to meet with friends. Try to check out their wine cellar, it is filled with hundreds of bottles, very interesting to see. more

One of the Best Italian Restaurants 8/10/2005

Cosimo's on Union is the premier Italian trattoria in the Hudson Valley. Its a little more upscale and the interior decorating of the restaurant is very nice. The dining area is very dim to add a romantic effect. The food is also delicious. Dessert too! The prices here are just a little more expensive but you would expect that at any type of these restaurants. They have an extensive wine list and offer catering too. Perfect for a family dinner or celebration. more
