Cortina Ristorante & Bar

I recently decided to be daring and make the drive to the Summit Mall. I was rewarded with finding THE best Italian restaurant in town and realized that Reno is getting classy! I highly recommend the Gnocchi Al Pesto Con Gamberi E Fagiolini (potato 'dumplings', basil pesto, shrimp & green beens)! In addition to having wonderful food, this place is beautiful so you also get an ambience boost while you're there. The staff is very friendly and I was surprised to find out that our server actually moved to the US from Italy! By the end of our evening, I was picking up some Italian phrases and had the pleasure of meeting the owner! From beginning to end - a truly wonderful experience. It is refreshing to find a great place to eat without having to trek through a casino to get there! Everyone needs to experience Cortina for themselves, as I will be going back as often as I can!! more

I visited Cortina Ristorante & Bar last Wednesday for the first time, and I must say that I was impressed. From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I was in for a memorable experience. It turns out that they were hosting a wine tasting event in the bar, which was complimented by a jazz pianist playing in the surrounding lounge area. For only $15, I ate from the yummiest appetizer buffet and sampled some of the best wines I have had yet. It didn't hurt that the Italian-born staff was on hand to answer my questions in that wonderfully smooth accent. I will definitely be back to Cortina, and I would certainly recommend it to a friend as a place to unwind, relax, and sample from the good life. Pros: Ambience, Food, Experience more
