My wife and I recently contracted Cortese for a Kitchen remodel and also a Sunroom addition- From beginning to end we were floored with the service we received from Cortese. My first interaction was with the kind office staff- next Domenic for the kitchen estimate- and his son Nick for the sunroom. We were extremely impressed with the attention to detail both Domenic and Nick gave, in our initial consultations with both they spent over an hour answering all our questions. From the second we welcomed them into our home they rolled out the red carpet for us and treated us like family. All of the staff at Cortese were friendly and extremely knowledgable. You can tell that this family owned small business is doing it right and it explains why they have been around for over 60+ years. After all was said and done, our Kitchen looks OUT OF THIS WORLD and our four-season Betterliving Sunroom is our favorite new area of the home to sit and watch the outdoors in our backyard. I don't have one bad thing to say about our experience with Cortese- they were there for us every step of the way and we knew we could count on them to get the job done right! Domenic Cortese guided us through the planning stages with a keen eye for design, function, and practicality. We felt such confidence with his suggestions because his focus was on providing what we wanted in a sensible, quality kitchen! There was never a hint of ""high pressure"" which enhanced our comfort level, trust,& assurance, knowing Domenic was incorporating our ideas into his planning. The creative ideas offered, enthusiasm shown, & superior products displayed "" cinched the idea "" for us in chosing Cortese Construction! The various workers involved in carrying out the design presented to us, are truely artisans. We feel so fortunate knowing that each aspect of the remodeling was done with quality craftsmanship, with utmost care & attention to every detail-even the daily clean-up. We had a major bath renovation. It was really expensive but we paid because we thought we were getting quality. NO. The main guy who came was fine and on time everyday. But we also had to keep dealing with the son of the owner, who never knew what was gong on and didn't seem to care.At the ""end"" of the job, a dozen things were done wrong or left undone and we had to keep calling for two months to get them done. Finally we just gave up. NOT worth the money or the aggravation, and the son needs to work in the real world for a few years how to deal with customers!!! more

Right from the start, Cortese Brothers was courteous, making sure that they called me back in a timely fashion. Everything was done professionally, including the estimate, appointments, and the whole production process. They were always reachable, and went out on many limbs for me. The entire staff, and field workers were polite, and communication was great! I would recommend this company to anyone! Pros: On time, courteous, and dependable Cons: I was 100% Satisfied. more

Cortese Brothers Construction proves that throwing money at advertising, and standing behind daddy's reputation goes a long way in the construction industry. I agree with the previous reviewer. The project manager has little real knowledge of the construction field and therefore promises things to homeowners that can not be done. Although you may be getting quality craftsmanship from a sub-contractor, somehow there always seems to be communication issues. Furthermore, customers may have paid Cortese Bros. for work that was completed, but that payment is not always passed on to the sub-contractor, leaving the homeowner vulnerable to Mechanics liens being placed on their property. Pros: They are always polite Cons: You don't always get what you want more

This company is truly not what it's cracked up to be or perceived as in the community. I am so sorry that I contracted with them for remodeling in my home. We had problems from day one. more
