Coronado At Newport North And South Apartments

CHANGING RATES IN MID CONTRACT. DECEPTION! We moved in here 3 years ago. We have renewed our lease twice. We were thinking about staying another year until they decided that parking here was a privilege other than a right. \r \r Before, all of the center parking was available to us, upstairs and downstairs garage, now they are converting the downstairs garage space into private parking in order to gouge their tenants of $50 extra per month. If I knew this would be the case, I would not have renewed my lease. I am reviewing the contract to see if this is entrapment.\r \r Other issues, constant problems with car damage through endless construction on 16th street. 3 car burglaries in the short time we have lived here. Maintenance, very slow to respond to requests. Too noisy, and too expensive. more

I just moved into these apartments. Unfortunetly, i signed a lease for a year..\r I hate it. \r 1) the day that i moved in i found that my disposable doesn't work (its ancient), the smaller bedrooms medicine cabinet is full of rust, the outlet plugs dont work, my whole back patio is covered in weeds, the tile on the counter was chipped, and the carpet was coved in grease marks.\r 2) I have never heard people who make so much noise. Who stays up to 4 am blasting music ON A WEEKDAY!? Do these people work or go to school? My upstairs neighbors bang around everyday without fail. It starts around 9pm, ends around 2am, then starts right back up around 8am. ever heard of sleep? I've called security four times-and nothing happened. \r 3) People need to clean up after their dogs. I have two large dogs and i always clean up after them. It really isn't that hard.. If you do move in be sure to watch your step.\r 4) This place isn't secure at all. I've been having many Problems with them since I moved in about a month ago!\r When you move into an aprt, you expect it to be in a good shape however my dishwasher didn't work for a month ( it was leaking)!! and there was an explosion incident in my apart ( The pipe under the sink bursted and the force was so strong that it blew the cabinet doors open and damaged all the things I had under my sink) and coronado refused to pay for any of my items that were damaged!! \r This incident wasn't a leaking issue, it was about ruptures!!!\r Coronado South makes you sign a lease that says ""you are responsible for any damages to your apart and Coronado South won't cover any of it"" even though this incident was a pipe explosion and the dirty water was running through the carpet and all the things I had under the sink were thrown across the room and in fact was a safety issue if I was standing standing in front of the sink while that incident happened and all coronado south said about this was ""it doesn't matter, you signed a lease that says you are responsible for everything and we won't pay for any of your damaged items!!"" and I had other problems with the shower leaking and garbage disposal wasn't working and some other minor ones....\r They basically don't care at all about you (from safety point of view) and about your things in your apart even though they should be responsible for pipe explosions and similar incidents!! and they said it happens often...meaning this doesn't mean that this is the last time the pipe exploded in my apart and I had to buy new things at my own expense!!\r I def don't suggest this apart complex to anyone who would want to come home and relax because there are lot of issues you need to deal with if you want to live there!!\r for the price you pay, you get nothing out of it!!!!!!!!!!!! more

These apts look nice on the outside, but inside the apts, they are old. Each apartment is SLOWLY getting remodeled, but the process will be awhile to complete. Not the best customer service...getting problems fixed is timely as well. However, they are in an excellent location, really close to freeways and the beach. PROS: Excellent location! CONS: Poor management more
