The Coronado is a TERRIBLE place to live at. At a first glance, it looks like a wonderful place to live. Once you actually live there, you get familiar with the negative side of living at the Coronado. I lived there for four years in a one bedroom apartment. I paid $1050 a month in rent. The apartments seem nice at first, but the staff there is not so pleasant to work with! \r 1. I was in my apartment when my heater broke in the middle of winter. I understood and they said they would fix it. It took over a month to get the heater fixed in my apartment! There was a draft in my apartment of cold air. It was 50 degrees in my apartment and it was ~35 degrees outside. Space heaters didn’t help the situation. I ended up staying at a friend’s apartment, because my apartment was uncomfortable to live in. So when replacing my heater, they decided to STEAL my favorite beach towel and stuff it down the exhaust hole in the floor to keep gases from getting into the apartment. They could have provided their own cloth or towel, but no they decided to use MINE without asking! Once they finally installed the new heating unit, they kept my towel!!! THEY WENT INTO MY APARTMENT AND STOLE MY PROPERTY!!!\r 2. After having lived at the Coronado for four years, I knew the apartment needed a deep cleaning before I moved out. I had established with the management office, Front Door, that I must be present for any inspections and any future work that is to be done in my apartment! The Coronado changed management to Peak Campus Management. This new management company decided to not allow the residents to be present during the final move out inspections. How convenient!! My family friends and I spent a WHOLE DAY deep cleaning the apartment. After going through several bottles of cleaning products, magic erasers, we decided to patch any holes in the wall with spackle and even purchased new drip pans for the oven. It was the cleanest that I have ever seen the apartment! I finally get a list of deductions from my deposit; they said there was an $85 cleaning charge. I am furious. Why should I even have bothered cleaning the apartment at all?? \r I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone!! Not only can you not trust them around your property; you can’t trust them to not nickel and dime you for all of your money when it comes time to leaving. It was just so convenient for them to switch move out inspection policies just days before the majority of the people in the complex are due to move out!!!\r more

5 Star food and service!!! 6/23/2006

The food is fantastic. Almost anything you would want is there and it all tastes good. The best is that they have a brunch every Sunday. The price is comporable to that of the other Mother's Day brunches in the area. What is not comporable is the service you receive. Although easting in a ballroom with 200 other guests, the service staff gives special attention to you. It does not bother them to serve you, the smiles make the experience extremely pleasent. The Sunday brunch is on a smaller scale as far as the number of guests, but the work that goes into the preparation of food and the service is still top notch. I highly recomend not only Easter and Mother's Day brunces, but also the Sunday brunches! Pros: Food, selection, service staff Cons: Hard to find any!! more

A spectacular brunch 4/28/2006

I attended Easter Brunch at the Coronado with my family last Sunday. As I departed I made reservations for Mother's Day. That's how good it was. The whole brunch was so special, I couldn't find fault with anything. The buffets had so many things, all delicious. The presentation of the items were stunning. I loved the many salads, shrimp, oyters, fruit soups, cheeses, waffles with many toppings, eggs benedict, pastries. The service was very warm and cordial, yet attentive. But, the best was the desserts. I eat brunch at Nadoz Cafe and the same chef makes the desserts for this brunch. He outdid himself, everything was on individual interesting shaped plates, with pulled sugar flowers as a centerpiece. I left very full and everyone in my group loved it. Again, I can't wait to see what they do for Mother's Day. more
