Great for a first timer 12/4/2008

If you've never experience Indian Cuisine before, this place is great for first timers. I've always avoided Indian food because of the type of curry spices used in Indian foods vs Thai. I've never even liked the smell of Indian food. But this place have a fresh buffet set up for lunch everyday that's totally affordable and diverse. I fell in love. Now I'll never be afraid to accept my husband's invitation to an Indian restaurant in the future. I've learned over and over again, DON'T KNOCK IT UNTIL TRY IT. Pros: choices Cons: none more

My first Indian experience, not bad. 8/30/2007

This was my first time having Indian food, but my boyfriend has had in the past and he enjoyed his meal. Very colorful place, good service and we were quickly seated. It's a safe place it's your first time :D more

Top Notch 11/23/2005

This is serious food, presented beautifully. Prices are on point. Good bar (scotch selection) but wine list is short. Service is consistently good- not snooty but not necessarily warm and fuzzy. Yes, fresh herbs (fresh everything) as the last reviewer mentioned, and lots of interesting and surprising ingredients. The food is the number one priority here, and it is excellent, an experience in itself. Pros: food, atmosphere, location Cons: wine list , parking more

colorful 4/18/2005

decor is colorful. Location is perfect for people watching. Food, however, is a bit on the mild side. Bridge to India in Norwalk has more flavorful dishes. Pros: colors, decoration, location more

Dakshin ROCKS!!!! 4/16/2005

I cannot fathom how people can give this UNBELIEVABLE restaurant a mere ""7""??? The food is incredibly aromatic, the delicate balance of spices are exquisitely blended, and the service is outstanding. Easily ranks with the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Period. more
