Very Helpful 8/28/2012

I don't live very close to their location, so I made a phone call with the hope to receive some advice from a doctor. I honestly didn't expect to get anyone on the line, since I obviously wouldn't be able to visit their office and become a paying "customer". To my surprise the, very friendly, receptionist transferred me to a doctor (Dr. Gilbert, I believe). He proceeded to ask questions about my goats problem, and educate me on the possible issues. I don't live near any farm hospitals, so this was my only hope to get some answers (local vet wasn't helpful, and couldn't find any answers online). They were nothing but polite and respectful to me and I'm forever grateful to them for putting my worries to rest and educating me in the process. more

Good veterinary practice for exotics and fish 8/19/2005

Cornell University's Hospital for Animals is a good back-up practice for emergencies. They are also knowledgeable about exotics, horses, and farm animals (including cattle, sheep, goats, llamas, camels, and alpacas). However, be aware that for routine small animal care, your pet will be examined by a student veterinarian who will not have the skills of a seasoned, experienced veterinarian. On the other hand, the Microbiology Department and, in particular, Dr. Paul Bowser, is absolutely TOPS if you have any questions about fish pathology. more
