Cornejo's Service Station

My husband and I were about to purchase a used car near Burbank and needed an automotive inspection of the car. We live about 3 hours away. I called about 6 of the AAA recommended auto places around Studio City, and when I reached Tony at Cornejo's Service Station, I knew I'd found the right place. He listened to me with a grounded and present professionalism that is rare. When we got to Cornejo's, we were impressed by the cleanliness and orderliness of his business. We discovered that he's had this business for 40 years! We waited for the inspection and then for a smog check. After the inspection, Tony's son went over the details of the inspection with my husband and the seller of the car and answered all of their questions. Cornejo's has tables and chairs along the side of the building under a roof. We were able to sit there comfortably while we waited, and we came to an agreement with the seller of the car. The atmosphere of this business is so calm - it speaks of good management and customer service. No drama and no stress. If we didn't live so far away, this is where we'd take our cars! This is actually not a review but more of a response to the review that member read the bible left my shop. I don't know who you or your mother-in-law are, and I never received a complaint from either one of you. If we are such ""fradulent THIEVES"" ""A-HOLE mechanics"" and ""Shysters"" then why didn't you confront me face to face or file any compalints against me like you said you were going to do at the time that you smeared my business in your review on 10/21/2010 I higly encourage you to file as many compalints against my business as you possibly can. As a matter of fact, I'd like to help you do so. \r \r We have been in business for almost 40 years and we are a AAA approved shop. The customer service number for them is (714) 885-2107 The number to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau is 909-825-7280 If you'd still like to file a complaint with Kamala Harris (state attorney general) her number is 800-952-5225 I also encourage you to file a complaint with BAR (bureau of automotive reoair) that number is 661-702-6606 and when you call them don't forget to include my shop license number which is ARD00080477 You also mentioned the Chamber of Commerce and their number is 818-846-0109\r \r I ask that you go ahead and file complaints with the above mentioned entities and if I am found at fault of any wrong doing I'll be more than happy to reimburse your mother-in-law for any overcharges. This is the BIGGEST RIP-OFF garage EVER! They should be renamed CORN-HOLIEO'S, because when you go to them for a repair they bend you over & give it to you right in your old corn hole & I'm not kidding. I live in San Diego & only visit Burbank & my mother-in-law a few times a year. This last time visiting she asked me if I thought a repair she had done on her car seemed a bit costly. When she showed me the bill for the amount of work done I about fell on my ass! I asked her if she had any other work done by these shysters & if she kept any more of the receipts. She did & a small list is below... These people are fraudulent THIEVES. They charged a premium price for 3 belts but only installed 2, & the 2 they installed were low quality generic belts not the high quality German belts that I personally installed on the car a few years previously. They had left one German belt still on the car, that's how I knew they didn't replace all 3 belts. 80 dollars for a 60 dollar battery plus 37 for installation & load test!?!? - 325 dollars for a 100 dollar muffler. - 270 dollars for an 80 dollar alternator. - 60 dollars for brake sensors... the little pieces of metal that sit on the side of the brakes that come FREE with a new set of brakes!!! :O( ... The list just goes on & on & ON... I really feel bad that there are such incredible A-HOLE mechanics out there that would take such brutal advantage of an older retired lady. I will call the Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, Cal. Att. General & whoever else might listen. Crooks like this need to be stopped! more

This place has really great and honest service. In the past I've been to places where they will charge you an arm and a leg just to look at the car, or they will look for a problem even if there isn't one. The mechanic at Cornejo's actually drove my car around, took a look around under the hood and determined that there were only minor issues, and that they would not need to be dealt with immediately. On top of which, he didn't charge me for taking a look. I can't tell you how much I appreciated this. I'll defiantly be going back. They are also AAA approved, and do smog testing/repairs.
