Corks

I went to Corks last night with my boyfriend and another couple. Although I was really looking forward to our dinner together, I was thoroughly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was very flavorful and delicious but the portions were miniscule. After splitting an appetizer and salad and devouring the main course, I left hungry. Additionally, the wines are overpriced as is the food. I don't mind paying more for good food when I am getting a portion that will actually fill me up, but when I spend nearly $100 at a restaurant, I better leave satisfied. Finally, there are so many adorable and charming restaurants in Baltimore with cozy decor. Corks is not one of these places. It looks like they tried to make the dining room charming, but the carpet looked dirty and the set-up just did not work. more

We went here on Saturday night. The only thing that would've made it a TOTAL disaster is if the restaurant actually burned down while we were trapped inside...even though there was no fire, we were still trapped in a nightmare of bad service without apology and mediocre food that had to be sent back twice. more

Corks is a wonderful upscale restaurant in the heart of Federal Hill. It has a limited, yet fabulous menu and an extensive wine list. But with such quality also comes a large price tag, so it is the type of place to go for celebrations or special occasions...or if you are going out with someone rich :) more

Corks is the nicest restaurant in Federal Hill. I live in the neighborhood and I love bringing my parents here--- if they're paying. It's pretty pricey-- not sure if it's worth it. The wines are especially expensive--- it's hard to find a bottle under $50. That being said, the food is great, the service is wonderful, and if you don't want to be driving in Federal Hill but need an impressive place to take someone, I would definitely recommend Corks over Bicycle. The 3 times I've been, I found the appetizers and desserts to be the best part. Next time, I'm totally skipping the entre. more
